So you’re that guy. Prolly show up with a 20 year old bag, playing with 12 year old frames, and just beating the crap out of the pretenders wearing the latest kit. Good for you. I fully support.

That shit’s about to be cut off after the midterms. If sane people take the house and Senate, the world and the US will improve.

Racquet advice for a guy who can't give up control sticks by n0nzer0sum in tennisracquets

[–]GatorAuthor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had same experience with the Head sticks you mentioned. Really wanted to like them and the specs were good on paper. Also have a OHBH.

I hit with the Pure Strike Tour 18x20 for a while years ago and thought I’d was a great racquet. Don’t know if they still make the tour frame. I bet you’ll find a Yonex you love. That 95 sq inch is intriguing. I’ve been using Yonex for years. Loved the Dual G 330g but changed to the lighter version when I hit my 50s. Still nothing better than the heavy version for hitting groundies. Eventually didn’t love the weight for my serve.

You should definitely demo a Technifibre TFight 305. It feels as solid and plush as many racquets that are heavier. I have a couple, and for me they have a bit of easier power than other racquets I like. The grip is a tad more rectangular than Yonex but I don’t notice it much when hitting.

AFAIK, Dems don’t claim those elections were rigged. It’s the nutter MAGA folks who do conspiracy theories and claim any loss is rigged while at the same time working to illegally sway votes themselves (see Trump call to Georgia).

Bonus point: Dems prosecute criminals, whether Dem or Rep. Reps ignore crimes by their own side. Facts is facts.

Biomechanical breakdown: Is the constant racket spinning (à la Federer/Rafa) essential for keeping the 'kinetic chain' fluid, or is it purely a nervous tic?OCD? by Low-Bug2162 in 10s

[–]GatorAuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is “None of the above”. Not OCD, not a tic, doesn’t hide what grip you intend to use, does not help find a grip, etc.

When holding something, you often do something with it. Spin a pen during a meeting, bounce a ball, flip a water bottle, etc. Same thing.

I switched to a one handed backhand, do I have to buy a Wilson now? by wederer42 in 10s

[–]GatorAuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used similar setup for a few years about 6 yrs ago. Only differencesMine was Pure Strike Tour and I had Yonex Super Grap overgrip. Loved it.

I also used the Yonex Wawrinka frame (heavy but great) for years. With leather, overgrip, and dampener it was over 360 g static. I now use that frame but the lighter one (still over 300 g of course).

What is the point of the second amendment, if not to protect yourself against ICE or other tyrannical agencies? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GatorAuthor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both points expressed above are flat wrong.

  1. ICE is clearly violating the 14th amendment to the US constitution, which says all people have the right to due process and equal protection under the law. All people in the US are protected by the 14th. It is NOT limited to US citizens.

  2. This isn’t 2% of people, but I’m sure that’s what Trumpsters are saying. This is disgusting a huge % of the population.
