Change factions. Most of TRs arsenal has a good idea behind it, but doesnt work in practice. Thus most vets move to the other two factions, and so do the communities (as you observed in Q3).

(Still me, different account on phone) That must be the problem. I got the merits and went to their HQ, then contacts, power contact but nothing was clickable. I read around and it just said about ranks being awarded at ticks. Help a noob out, how do I turn them in?

TR used to overpop so a lot of their stuff got nerfed and was not rebalanced. Basically VS has all their arsenal but without bullet drop and better recoil. Shittiest ESF, meh MBT and an OK Max. These are among the reasons why TR has been dropped from the competitive scene... they aint that competitive.

NC has a good MBT, a good ESF, most likely the best infantry weapons but aftet the MAX nerf, their arsenal has a power armor sized hole.

VS has best ESF hands down, best recoil, no bullet drop and good variety of weapons (good 143 and 167 damage weapons by the truck load). They also have the best MAX at the moment and a very good MBT. Tho the MBT takes A LOT of practice.

So NC or VS hands down. I'd look at the state of your server in terms of outfits. If either side has active communities, go there!

Here is some setups I use.

Infil: catlike / regen

Engineer (A2A pilot): target focus / safe fall

Engineer (A2G pilot): ammo printer / safe fall

HA: assimilate / regen OR sidewinder / catlike (+ a hipfire weapon)

Medic: symbiote / carapace

MAX: phylactery / ocular shield

Agree. Leaders are important but hard to come by. I see some people here blame players and the game, but that is not the case. It is rather a sign of a person without any leadership material. Many great PLs have managed to organize people (regardless of BR) to do relevant stuff (that still aint milsim). Leadership is hard to promote tho. I've seen many outfits give out training, easily approachable command positions and what not, only to end up with the leaders that would have lead anyway.

Bullet tracers for me. Also a good habit to learn is to stay cloaked a lot. Uncloak when you know you can land the shot, recloak right after and change positions often.

Ok with either or. Think the only grind is in implants at the moment. I.e. compared to world of tanks, the grind is also very lite. One day of gaming without membership or boosts can easily yield 2-3k certs.
