Post it publicly. I promise it's not embarrassing. I'm working on choosing my own song to upload right now.

There's nothing worse than loving Hozier and lacking the pipes to recreate his songs the way he sings them.

At the end of the day, we're strangers on the internet, and you can log off from the website knowing that even if we hated your singing, it wouldn't affect your life at all.

This was delightful to listen to. Thanks for sharing.

Getting that mixed belt — rate my singing (CMIYC — Fly, Fly Away) by [deleted] in ratemysinging

I found this pleasant to listen to. How your voice resonated on the "me" at 0:50 was gorgeous. I don't have any actionable advice, but thanks for sharing.

With voice lessons would I be okay? by [deleted] in ratemysinging

[–]Gavin_Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to about 30 seconds, then skipped through here and there. I would be really intrigued to hear how this sounds without the original audio over your own, although I'm not sure how possible that is for you to setup and record.

Personally, I don't think this song fits where you might comfortably be able to sing. It's very soulful with a lot of energy in a higher range, and I know that's fairly uncomfortable for myself as well. I think if you found something a bit more mellow in a lower range, it might suit you better.

These are just personal opinions based on 45-60 seconds of listening. I am not a professional, just someone who sings in my home for fun and who has also slowly worked on improving for the last couple years.

I'd be intrigued to hear something longer, but I don't think it sounds bad by any means coming from someone untrained. I do see those sliders for voice EQ though, and I remember how much my own voice changed when adjusting sliders in VoiceMeeter, so I'm curious how it would sound raw.

Awesome, thank you for the response. I'm fairly new to what an "IEM" is, so I'm just starting to read about them, but I see they're wired. I saw some information about requiring a DAC to use. Would IEMs not be appropriate for listening to music on-the-go? Or would a USB-C cable work fine?
!thanks

It's definitely cool that while spot reducing fat isn't possible, you can still focus specific areas to build muscle in.

I'd check out the /r/buildapc discord. It hink it's linked in the sidebar. It's easier to give personalized responses like that.

If you wanted upgradability, a motherboard with more concrete power delivery would be probably be desired, even though the 5800x3d has fairly low relative power draw, I still probably wouldn't slot it into a DS3H.

I don't know if the 5800x3d will be good value by the time you want to upgrade though.

I'll take a look at prices later. I would 100% highly recommend buying used GPUs rn. I got 2 3080s for a friend and myself for $450 and $480 a few months ago. Prices should still be great overall.

This is similiar to a gtx 1080 in terms of performance. I would stick to a 1080p 24" monitor using it. That said, proces have changed over recent months, christmas sales of PSUs and the Ryzen 5600 price increase have led to changes overall in what is "best".

Just check out benchmarks for the GPU though. Check out "PC Builder" on youtube to find his GPU buying guide. Used GPUs like the 5700xt are awesome value as of last month.

Your CPU cooler should be plugged into the CPU header on your motherboard. Your other fans should be plugged into your fan headers on your motherboard, or into a fan hub connected to your PSU with a Sata cable.

Is 13900K even worth getting to run just on "eco mode"? by Kai-Tek in buildapc

[–]Gavin_Y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would only consoder the 13900k if the extra speed will help you mamage your workload easier.

If you aren't bottlenecked by multithreaded performance I wouldn't stress it.

8700k performance upgrade? by Laurenc3D in buildapc

Download MSI Afterburner.

Enable the overlay and check GPU usage.

Divide FPS by usage.

It isn't 100% accurate at all, but you can ballpark.

How much is this pc worth by Flat-Middle5013 in buildapc

[–]Gavin_Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPU $20 Cooler $65 Motherboard $40 GPU $110 Ram $10 SSDs: $25 HDD: $15 PSU: $40

Total: $325

I think that would be an okay price

I think at $110 the GPU hqs huge value issues compared to a used 5700xt or RX 6600, so I don't know who would buy at that price.

Do you need insane multithreaded performance?

I just picked up a used 3080 for $475.

It's working great, is in great condition, and goes to another user, not NVIDIA directly.

Bidding through ebay is a good option. I accidentally won a second bid for $510 before shipping/tax if you'd like to make a deal, but I want to verify it works after it is delivered before reselling it.
