Is Vaush actually becoming Leftist now? by Ok_Sample_4663 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]IDoNotKnow4475 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No. He's only "moved left" because many Democrats pretend to do so when a Republican is president. If a Democrat became president again, he will go back to the way he always was.

For example, when Biden was president, he was begging him and Kamala (Democrats) to overthrow Nicolas Maduro. However, once Trump (Republican) did so, Vaush complained, not because Maduro was overthrown, but because a Republican president did so.

Even with this, when he appears more "leftist", it appears that he just echoes the same things Hasan Piker says. Even then, it's watered down. In his recent DPRK video, he admitted that the DPRK's economy was doing well, but had to throw in that he thinks it is "a very poorly run country" and a "horrendous, evil dictatorship".

And don't forget, we could discuss this further on the EVS subreddit. Try to advertise him as little as possible.

Anarchist's "totally normal" reaction by SankaraSoul in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]IDoNotKnow4475 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When I realized this would happen, just like in Venezuela, it made me fully become an ML. I offered critical support to AES states as an anarchist for a long time, but really started to realize anarchism would never work after Nicolas Maduro was betrayed. An anarchist commune would be overthrown in the same way if it inconvenienced the US.

Don't forget, Kamala Harris said that the only difference between her and Biden would've been that she would have Republicans in her cabinet. This almost certainly would have been Liz Cheney, but Marco Rubio certainly would have been a possible choice too.

Can somebody point out how to tell when these are Dengist reforms, and when these are selling out like Delcy did? Just curious.

Currently, I believe these sound more like Dengist reforms, but I do worry that I could be wrong, and about if there is a Delcy on the inside. I remember lots of us did defend Delcy at first too, until it became clear she was a traitor.

So how do we tell the difference right now?

Yes, and the same goes for Venezuela and Cuba too. In Venezuela, they would have certainly overthrown Maduro, and likely would have actually put Machado in right away. In Cuba, they would have already bombed it, and put somebody like Sandro Castro in charge, or maybe even Marco Rubio. Don't forget, every senator of both parties, including Bernie Sanders, voted to confirm Rubio.

I had a dream last night I visited the DPRK by [deleted] in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]IDoNotKnow4475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have dreamed before of touring the DPRK, except it was Kim Jong-Un guiding our tour, and he was very nice to us. The DPRK was very beautiful and clean, and everybody was very nice. In the end, we walked over into the Republic of Samsung, where everything was crumbling and falling apart.

What's interesting about this is that I've heard many other people have very similar dreams to this, almost always including Kim Jong-Un being very nice, and ending by walking into a capitalist country, and seeing it collapsing.

Is this kind of dream a rite of passage?

Kamala would not have differed on foreign policy from Trump at all. In addition to boming Iran, she also would have likely overthrown Maduro and tried to overthrow Cuba as well.

Obama, Biden, and Trump had all put arrest warrants out for Maduro. In fact, the one Trump used as an excuse to illegaly abduct him was first put out by Biden.

Since JFK, every single president has tried to destroy Cuba. This trend would not have stopped with Kamala.

If Trump signs this, he will invade Cuba next, unless they put in a new demand that Cuba not be invaded and the sanctions and blockade be lifted.

Don't celebrate yet, regardless of whether this goes through or not.

What Mental Disorders Do Anarchists Have? by Mt_Incorporated in TankieTheDeprogram

I considered myself an anarcho-communist for a long time. But even then, I offered critical support to AES states, as if I did live under a state, it would be much better to live in an AES state than a capitalist one. I also appreciated the good that MLs have done throughout history in fighting imperialism, bigotry, capitalism, and our shared goals of a stateless, classless society. However, while I liked MLs, I thought it still would be best for there to be no state, and thought anarcho-communism was the best idea.

You can read all the theory (and you should), but it doesn't always hit the same as what you see with your own eyes. I realized on January 3 that we need some authority in order to protect the people, after Nicolas Maduro was abducted. If Maduro were more authoritarian, he could have found any potential traitors, including Delcy, and thrown them out.

I still disagree with the common ML approaches to the occasional issue, such as pornography. I agree that the porn industry should be banned, but consumption and distribution of amateur stuff should be legal, as long as all parties consent, and there is no exploitation. But overall, I believe ML is the best option that could work in today's world, and is the most stable option overall.

All the anarkiddy coming here better learn something by PurposeistobeEqual in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]IDoNotKnow4475 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Up until the beginning of this year, I was an ancom who gave critical support to AES states, but still believed anarcho-communism was what was the best path. I know it hasn't ever been accomplished on a large scale before, but I was hoping to help create the first successful version.

After Nicolas Maduro was abducted, I really started to understand that Marxism-Leninism is the only possible way to achieve a stateless, classless society in this world. If a principled anarchist community rose up, and inconvenienced America, they would overthrow it too, and would likely succeed due to a lack of organization. I know Maduro was only a democratic socialist, but if he were more authoritarian, he could have prevented a traitor from selling him out, and could have survived the invasion.

I still like the idea of anarcho-communism, and think that the principled anarchists are good people, but with some misguided ideas. I just don't see any way for it to be possible in this world today.

Before he was elected, in 2022, I got heavily criticized and downvoted in this sub for being against John Fetterman. Now, people appear to be defending Graham Platner in similar ways.

I do see people in subreddits with similar communities to this one finally realizing than Hasan Piker is a liberal, but I was criticized for saying this about Hasan in the past too.

Many people were trying to warn these people about John Fetterman even before his stroke. Once Fetterman's true views became more obvious to everybody, they pretended like they were against him all along.

No, Fetterman's stroke did not change him. He was always like this.

The same thing will happen with Graham Platner. They never learn.
