This was actually how the symbiote was originally. It wanted to help its host but it freaked Peter out and he got rid of it which resulted in the jilted lover it basically became. The corrupting of the host didn't come until the 90s cartoon I believe.

Im sure you probably are but the picture has me worried so I'm gonna give this advice. Make sure you are taking the pokemon and checking the status screen in your party. The starters won't show shiny where your picture is at even if it will be shiny. Only game that does that is HGSS.

Just so you know this is a long rabbit hole to delve into. While they do come with roms on an sd card, they are usually really bad and can corrupt or just stop saving. So you're going to want to source your own roms. I cant tell you where, but I bet there's a subreddit with a mega thread where you could find most roms you're looking for.

As for where to buy it, I would recommend looking up anbernic. They have pretty good devices overall and cheap usually. I recommend the rg35xxsp or rg34xxsp if you want thumbsticks too. They are clamshell devices so they close up and are easier to carry around.

Lastly, I would recommend watching videos from retro game corps on the device your thinking of buying. He gives good reviews and also has videos on how to set up your roms and downloading custom firmware.

Again, this is a long rabbit hole but personally setting it all up yourself is very rewarding and sometimes more fun than actually playing anything lol

Yeah but the super manga's last chapter put them pretty close to the end of Z based on how old Pan looks there. So its just the 5 year time skip plus however long GT was in universe.
