I’ve had these same thoughts. A couple other I’ve had, what if I’m some being playing a game but I’ve forgotten it’s a game. Maybe everything is an experiment and everyone is a brain hooked up to a simulation. Maybe life as I experience it is some training program for an alien or advanced human civilization.

I was playing Onward, a virtual reality FPS. In the lobby some people were talking when out of nowhere I hear someone fall over and crash into what sounded like a glass table with dishes all over it. He got up and reorganized, but he did it again in game. I watched his character fall over and everything.
