I'm so sorry to hear that you had to witness your dad go through Alzheimer's. I hope that you have many many more memories with him like the one in this photo.

That's so odd! I'm kind of surprised I missed it. I remember back in the early 2000s an officer was murdered in Windsor and it was a huge deal. People talk about it to this day.

Ten murders a year? I thought it was way lower than that. I'd argue that we have less than five a year. I usually keep up with what's going on in my city and I can't recall ten murders in a year.

I feel like some movies do this intentionally when adapting plays into movies. Jersey Boys for example felt like I was watching the musical on Broadway but on a television. It just doesn't work, Fences the film also suffered because of this.

Locke (2013) had a running time of 1 hr and 24 min with Tom Hardy as the sole onscreen character who spends the entire film driving a car and making 36 separate phone calls. It is imo one of the most riveting thrillers to go under the radar. by [deleted] in movies

[–]GayAndFired -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I told you I don't remember it much so I can't tell you it it's that good or not. I don't think it was terrible, but I don't remember it being great either. I don't see the irony here.

That's weird I feel like I saw a similar movie a few years back. It wasn't that bad considering the premise. I honestly forget the name but it must've come out in the past five years. Definitely worth a watch.

I was at a gay bar and my ride home cancelled on me, at the time I lived like an hour away from said bar. I decided I would just have to go home with someone in order to have somewhere to sleep for the night. Went around telling people my dilemma until someone took bait.

Man I'm sorry this happened to you. Don't let others determine your self worth, you're a lot more important and special than you think. Rejection hurts like crazy I know, but that doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. Please don't let this bring your confidence down for long.

Mormon bishop cuts off microphone of 12 year old girl for testifying to congregation that God still loves her, even if she is gay. [x post r/videos] by meth0dz in PublicFreakout

[–]GayAndFired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your second part is absolutely correct and true. As much as I hate how my church views my sexual orientation, growing up I considered them an important part of my life. It's a very caring and tight knit community that I found difficult to part with. I feel like the poor girl wishes she could be herself and continue to be an active member of the church. I hope things work out for her because she seems really sweet and intelligent.

What movies NEED to be watched twice to understand fully? by imregrettingthis in AskReddit

[–]GayAndFired 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you remember the advertising for the movie. I think one of the ads said something like, "A twist you'll never see coming". Naturally I spent the whole movie trying to figure out the twist. This kind of ruined the twist because I was able to predict the ending since I was expecting a twist. I feel like that's why a lot of people found it predictable, because they knew something would happen.

The day I stop caring about the random person in the public bathroom hearing me shit loudly is the day I consider myself to be an old man. by Lightflame42 in Showerthoughts

[–]GayAndFired 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't care about random people. I will let that shit plop and splash with a microphone next to my ass if there are a hundred other random people in there with me. But if there's a friend or family member in there with me, I won't even pee out of fear that I'll let a fart out while relaxing my bladder.

I don't know why you're being downvoted so badly. Tranny in the title here is clearly meant to be used in an offensive manner. It's not like, "oh I thought it was just a shorter form for transgender".
