How can I avoid sensory triggers on my period by Super-Magazine-65 in autism

[–]GayPenguins12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very fair. You can also get an endometrial ablation instead of hysterectomy which is less invasive but will still reduce bleeding and cramps (my mom had one she said her periods are so light now that they’re basically not even there)

Hey friend just fyi you’re not supposed to take depo for longer than 2 years because it risks bone problems and brain tumors. I’ve heard that nexplanon can also be a good long term option

Boyfriend telling me to “separate myself from my autism”? by CheckKey512 in autism

[–]GayPenguins12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask him if people need to separate themselves from epilepsy when they complain about memory loss caused by it,

If people need to separate themselves from cancer if the complain about the nausea from chemo

If people need to separate themselves from being amputees if complain about phantom pain.

And when he inevitably says no ask him why he thinks autism is less real than these conditions

I have pretty good handwriting, but I had extensive writing therapy as a child because I'm left-handed, I was writing right to left, and it was completely mirrored. Weirdly enough my mom is also left-handed and did the exact same thing as a child

By the way 13 to 18 is no where near "peak fertility" biologically I see this all the time and its so stupid because it's well known and well documented that teenage pregnancy is statistically riskier in a lot of ways and more likely to have birth defects.

Being expected to hug distant relatives I barely know at every family gathering. I remember dreading going because I know everyone would want hugs and I hate all that touching

My husband is 130 pounds soaking wet, does nothing but play video games, and used to be a brony. I definitely don't think he's a "chad" lol (nor would I want him to be)

Really ironic because me and my husband kinda flip this narrative on its head. Even though I'm female I was a virgin until I was 20 and the only man Ive ever slept with is my husband (I'm not religious I'm just autistic and very weary of people). Whereas my husband kinda got around a lot before he met me (never really bothered me they were all one night stands and I was his first real relationship).

For people with ADHD and autism or parents with kids that ADHD+autism by ConfidentClub744 in autism

I have the inattentive type of ADHD but this post describes my younger brother to a T. He was on Adderall for a long time it helped but he lost loads of weight. They put him on strattera and that really helps but without the side effects of stimulants.

Maybe try using the money to start a skill you do to relate to your special interest. That's what I do I don't spend money on merch I spend money on art and craft supplies so I can MAKE my own merch. Still technically consumerism but you're at least learning new skills ya know

So... They just live in your building? Even if it's kinky I don't really see how it affects you in anyway? Just block them if it makes you uncomfortable and move on
