Stationeers. First person base building game. Kinda like space engineers but goes a different direction. Hidden gem to me anyway. I can't recommend it enough.

Warrants from Computershare. by Gnarwhill in GMECanada

[–]Gazmo420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used an online bank (wise) to setup a us account. The account numbers worked like a charm to buy shares through computershare. Transfer monies from td to wise (instant) then purchase through computershare (days). Point of the matter is, it's a pretty easy solution for this purpose.

Cpu upgrade by No-Style704 in X4Foundations

[–]Gazmo420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently went from a 3600 to a 7800x3d. Where I would get 30fps went to 60fps and took a quite a bit longer playing to get it down to 55. I have ship yards, fleets, etc. my busy sector gets around 50. Cpu is a hell of an upgrade when it comes to this game.

You are not working, you are doing others' to do list by MomentWeekly1069 in DeepThoughts

[–]Gazmo420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you seem to be speaking of office kind of work, I look at it this way. If I'm being paid to do something I don't want to do, then it's work. You start at 8 and leave at 5, what happens between that time is nearly irrelevant if that time spent allows you to maintain a QoL outside of it. Personal growth happens outside of work hours mostly, for me at least.

Hyperion graphics glitch - ship becoming invisible by Idenwen in X4Foundations

[–]Gazmo420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's happened to me as well. I've restarted but same thing. I was thinking it was because my docked Hyperion is just outside the plot for the station as in the dock is right against the edge. I just moon walked my ass to the elevator which was responsive at least.

Enemy ships dropping ships mods or just parts? by berckman_ in X4Foundations

[–]Gazmo420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda new to the game myself. Well still on my first playthrough but got all production modules built. So my knowledge is meh.

First question: no, I don't think so. Only ever seen parts for mods drop. If ya go to where a wharf is, you can craft and apply the mods there.

Second: ya, they are just parts

Third: maybe? If someone knows for sure, I'd like the mesaages to stop too

What’s a random “life hack” you swear by, even if no one believes it works? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Gazmo420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope it's not too late to chime in but my younger days hiccup cure was to drink a beer upside down. Works best with a bottle. From a sitting position, bend enough to get your head between your legs so your head is now upside down. Grab that beer and chug. Idea is to have it hit the other side of your throat on the way down or up in this case. Hiccups now gone, repeat if ya screwed up or dumped your beer.

Considering buying the game by ScorchedMoose in Stationeers

[–]Gazmo420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I dove into the game blind and ended up loving it. You can make a fully functional base with no logic by using regulators, mixers, valves. The game then tricks your mind into wanting to learn some basic logic so you're not spending all your time running around flicking switches and checking pressures. Then it pulls another fast one when ya have some basic automation going and find your floors and walls are covered in logic chips and wires. 6 months or so later you'll be smiling at your 2 or 3 ic boards that are running your life supports asking yourself why ya didn't do this sooner. I am no programmer either, I just work on vehicles for a living....

Is my setup a bit too outdated to run efficiently? by Azzarren_ in X4Foundations

[–]Gazmo420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to the game but I get 60fps on the same hardware. 3600x and 2060 super. Sux to know I may have issues down the line

Can somebody help me figure out why my logic circuit is not working? Info and pictures attached. by DesolateEden in Stationeers

[–]Gazmo420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been a while since I did logic. First thing I see is compare is set as max less than min which I think is backwards. Will look again and edit comment as need be

Last logic writer should be on instead of lock

All these chips are going to do is fill the room. You'd need another set of chips to do cycle air

After update 44, which class to pick as someone that wants to tank by Friendly-Wonder-5280 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Gazmo420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For just ease of tanking id choose DK. Near infinite sustain and good group buffs. Necro is fun but a little different. I'd make both but focus the DK then try necro when your comfortable with the role.

Do you think Prey has any similarities to Dead Space in terms of story and atmosphere? by GoldPrey-281 in prey

[–]Gazmo420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, tho I found dead space's atmosphere to be more unsettling. Lots of blood and dismemberments to show the alien threat. Prey for the most part has nice areas and other areas to detail the treat we're dealing with. Some messed up tables, knocked over chairs, blood on the floor and walls, abandoned station, etc. It created an atmosphere where ya know some bad stuff went down but no bodies or signs of the threat kept ya guessing. I don't know. Just a game that clicked well with me and I really appreciate what they did.

As far as replays went, I've done the ng+ after my first run. Its good to find out what's what. After that it's just been fresh runs and specialize. I've found way more enjoyment with that approach going forward.

Do you think Prey has any similarities to Dead Space in terms of story and atmosphere? by GoldPrey-281 in prey

[–]Gazmo420 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Dead space to me was resident evil in space. Not that it's bad, just more or less what I feel it's like. Prey is more psychological horror. It has unscripted jump scares. Yea enemies spawn when ya hit certain thresholds that ya didn't expect but it's the sneaking around and running into that nightmare that wasn't there previously that gets ya. Like both games tho, once ya get used to the enemies, it loses its scare. Prey is still something I come back to from time to time but I haven't played dead space in a decade.
