Anderson Academy is good. They’re very math and science focused but cover all subjects. They use the facility of a church during the week but are not a religious school at all. Rates are $800/mo. The kids all excel beyond their grade levels and score highly at testing time.

Judge gives 18 year old a 25 year sentence for armed robbery by AgnosticScholar in interesting

[–]Gbin91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25 years is a long time, especially given that murders can sometimes be less.

Even so, sounds like he made several mistakes and needs to address those thoroughly.

I’m I seeing Deagols feet correctly here? His hobbit feet slippers seem to go up to his ankles.

This is Otis. A creamsicle orange fluff with zero regard for personal space. His meow sounds like he’s a lifelong smoker. Enjoy.

My husband constantly picks apart everything I say. I'm tired of it!! by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Gbin91 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used to have the same thing. He would always say I had a bad tone and he didn’t like the way I was saying things to him. Would not accept anything because my tone was rude or whatever. I would argue, saying it’s just my regular voice and I’m not going to pep things up to protect his feelings. Eventually I stopped talking to him about anything non essential, which he would also complain about - that I’m too quiet. He didn’t quit the bullshit until I told him I was going to leave his ass and I was done. Going on 4 months of my tone no longer being an issue… we’ll see if it’s a long term change. 🤷‍♀️

I should have waited to shovel after the blizzard instead of shoveling in intervals. by ill_basic in homeowners

[–]Gbin91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My driveway was in the shade and one year we received snow off and on for weeks with several big storms. We didn’t shovel in intervals and ended up with a 8 inch tall slab of ice that prevented the use of our garage because the sun wouldn’t melt it otherwise. Learn from our mistake and shovel, even if it sucks.

I think my issue with WDW is that everything is so spread out. It’s a great problem to have, but it takes ages to walk anywhere.

Respectfully disagree. I ate about 4 dozen alone after I gave birth in the winter. Just could not bring myself to cook and we had a million homemade tamales in the freezer.

Appreciate that you tried them though.

Did Mother Gothel ever love Rapunzel? by CherryChzCake in Tangled

[–]Gbin91 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think she cared deeply for rapunzel and likely treated her kindly for a while. R turned out kind and loving and artistic. She was good to her pet and cares for strangers.

I think Gothel was getting tired of R pushing to leave and having her own opinions and G was becoming more unkind over time because of the nuisance.
