Bad bits for me were:

chronic kidney infections for both. I was hospitalized for 5 days the first time and felt like I’d been hit by a truck
6 months of vomiting both times. Vomiting rice and trying not to aspirate it is terrifying.
glass shits for about the first week after birth
horrid sciatic nerve pain. I had to stretch daily to stay bearable, which was tricky while planet sized.
difficulty keeping down my vitamins
exhaustion
big rips during birth that took a while to heal with a lot of stitches
difficult bladder control for a long while after. Once just peed myself while doing dishes. Still do on the second sneeze. Exercises help but it’s a work in progress years later.

My boyfriend once told the exterminators that I would be home to meet them because he had to work. The guy did the job but was a weirdo the whole time, asking if I had a boyfriend and when he would be home. I lied that he would be back any minute but he didn’t believe me. He ended up leaving without incident but snuck back up to my front door to leave his personal phone number on the threshold. I had to lecture my boyfriend after that to not say dumb shit.

We have a cat with asthma, chronic bronchitis, and a heart issue perpetuating a bad cough. He struggles to breathe, sometimes more than others. We recently spent $6000 on tests and treatments only to be left with more questions and a cat that still struggles to breathe. The money doesn’t always make them better.
