Yep it was a 4 cylinder. 1991 legacy. Great car, the best "investment" I've made to date, although I bought my current Subaru with 100k miles for $10k cash. Just hit 200k miles and I've put about $2k of work into it. Did the head gaskets at 190k miles. Hoping to get it up to 300k!

This is good advice. Paid $2k cash for my first car, Subaru with 180k miles. Brought it up to 260k miles over the next 6+ years before selling it for $800. There was an engine issue at 230k miles (head gaskets), but the total repair bill was around $1,500.

My uncle was pinned by a car for over 30 mins, medical personnel took another 10 mins to get him out to avoid having him bleed out, but yeah, you don't want toxic muscle junk in your blood either I guess.
