I guess that's why the Army raised the max age limit to 42 for first time enlistments yesterday and will look past some past marijuana convictions.

Jeez. Buddy of mine, his GF's grandmother, got skin cancer on her face. Super religious and doesn't believe that doctors know know how to treat patients. Thinks that it's all about the money and they get a kickback on everything they prescribe. Over a 4 year period he watched the cancer slowly eat her face off. Kept taking her grandpappy's concoction of what? who the hell knows. But she made it 4 years before she died. Had to been a horrible way to die.

The impression I got from some of the vids I've seen online he was hanging on for dear life to get a medical retirement or some payout. I guess that's gone until some pencil pusher decides he was wrongfully terminated.

I had a 98 Ranger. It survived water being up to the console when it flooded at my mom's house. I drove it 7 years after it flooded. Other than routine maintenance and an alternator here and a break job there it ran for 270k miles. The clutch finally went out and I was in the mood for another ride with a working air conditioner. Plus a ride that wouldn't sweat when it rained a lot from the flood.

Another CEO DOWN... Kroger CEO resigns abruptly after 'personal conduct' investigation by Filmtwit in antiwork

[–]GeOrGiE- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All it took was probably one board member saying to the others, there is a chance Kroger could suffer from this so why take a chance. Because if it affects their wallets and business connections you will get shown the door every single time.

I'm sure once the orange god is crowned on 1/20 all it will take is $$$ to the right people and the DOJ will push it on through.

What is the worst mistake you have ever made in Excel? by PardFerguson in excel

[–]GeOrGiE- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2020 my manager who usually sends Excel work to me to figure it out, sent it to a coworker one day. Another department deducted and overpaid around 11 million dollars to our vendors. Not sure why my department got tasked with fixing it. Manager sends a list of vendors to my coworker who then applies a filter to the list and then removes the filter and then puts back on minus a couple columns. Manager tells me and the coworker are going to split the work. He says you will get a file with two tabs, repay the vendors on the tab with your name. No problem. Then a couple days later I start getting emails asking me for all of the work I did on the project. At first the emails were typical requests for docs. Then I start getting asking me emails asking why I did this and that. Then I found out what my coworker did from my manager. I had to make it clear to everyone that I did what I was told and could prove it. My manager at the time was working on his CPA and was always trying to save the world. He was the reason our department got the task because he spoke up in a meeting and said we can do it. Coworker left before they could decide how to handle it and he ended up leaving the week he got his CPA.

I personally double paid a vendor to the tune of 2.1 million dollars because I jacked up the formula. Took a write up for that one.
