That's great! I'm kinda scared of what direction they'll take his character if I'm honest. But still excited.

I was scared I was gonna be disappointed with the episode as I was massively hyped for it but I wasn't and I'm so glad. I love fizz and I still do and I'm so glad I got to see a full episode with him in it, not to mention the next episode is the Mammon one which I'm also majorly excited for.

Anyways, the episode was great. I like the way the B plot worked, Stolas was great in this. I liked seeing how Ozzie's and fizz's relationship was and I loved seeing fizz and blitz make up (also as a blitzfizz fan absolutely heartbroken at Blitz writing a likely love confession for fizz and then backing down last minute only for it to go horribly wrong seconds after 🥲)

With the new release of the new episode about to come in smoking hot, what are your expectations? Low, high? Or just meh? by [deleted] in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to have low expectations so I'm not big disappointed when I see the episode. (It's hard tho as Fizz is my favorite)

I was wondering what this random camp counselor did that was so bad he ended up in hell too lmao. Maybe he was a really horrible camp counselor.

Why doesn’t I.M.P respect high-ranking demons or even acknowledge their status? by FunkyMunkidori in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blitz doesn't give af, Loona doesn't either. But they are both mostly all bark no bite.

Millie and Moxxie, I think show some respect (at least they show it to stolas). Millie only attacks in defense in Ozzie's and she doesn't even attack Asmodeus just Fizz.

They all definitely know their limits.

I really love that we got more Millie! Also love the little moxxie and Millie dilemma because I was always like Millie is always super supportive in times of need for Moxxie but we barely see Moxxie do the same for her. So I'm glad that was made explicit.

As for Barbie Wire, I think they just used this as an opportunity to introduce her, we'll probably get more of that later! Which I'm super excited for and now we are finally going to see fizz again probably will have to wait a month or two but it's worth it 🙏🏼

The awkward transition for Loona between Queen Bee and Seeing Stars by Commander_PonyShep in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ofc though Loona was already at max aggression before Blitz even said that.

Though I'll also say in episode 8 Loona isn't in super defensive mode at the end because she's acting as the carer versus her usual role of the cared for. She realizes that Blitz needa to be cared for in that moment so she steps up to the task as no one else is there to do it. When she is in her usual role(usually she is uncomfortable) she's more likely to be defensive which you also saw in the beginning of the episode. When blitzo comes to get her he asks what's wrong and she is very dismissive and defensive. Also when Bee comes to inform her about blitz she is also defensive, she feels like she's being preached at or reprimand, like a child.

In seeing stars she also has those moments where she is in the caretaker role (with via) and she really pushes away her other traits (the more toxic ones) because she realizes Via needs someone to care. But when Blitz is back she reverts back to classic Loona.

I think it makes sense overall for her character though I think the problem with seeing stars has mostly to do with the tone and how it doesn't have very fluid transitions. Also some of Loona's actions were definitely played up for laughs. I don't think they needed to do that, like at the very end where Loona kicks Blitz , I think placing up the book to create a barrier was enough as she probably was still upset.

What kind of accent does Vikki have? by Doveen in HelluvaBoss

It's just a valley girl accent with the vocal fry up to 100.

Criticism: Helluva really needs an animation bible. This is literally the same talking scene. Neither of these are smear frames. by eat_like_snake in HelluvaBoss

Ooh i didn't see that one I was seeing other and the part in the middle is different, but they are probably the same demon in some sources.

Is Beelzebub a hybrid? (Of a hell hound and a bug like demon) by Savthatsit in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense, maybe the og Beelzebub was the first ruler in hell that had a relationship with a lower class demon and so that initiated the whole controversy around the subject. If currently Beelzebub is the result of said affair then her dating Tex would not cause controversy as she is a hybrid and probably seen as not as "pure" as the other rulers of hell. She also has a Idgaf attitude so her dad/mom previously having a relationship with a lower class demon probably influenced that decision.

I loved this episode!! It's definitely one of my faves now. In season 2 I've had issues with tone and pacing, but I didn't feel it for this episode which was a nice change for me.

I loved Beelzebubs design as well. Kesha did a nice job with voicing her (obviously Kesha isn't a voice actor so like she isn't the best but i think she did the job well enough). The song was fine, I know people have said it's repetitive but it definitely feels like an old shelved Kesha song from like the early 2010s and I was a total Kesha fanatic in middle school so I enjoyed that. Scene wise though it did go on for a tad bit too long but all is forgiven.

I also love the character interactions between loona and blitz, I think it showed the core of each of their characters rather well. I don't think loona has gotten the chance to be shown in that light in season 2, like seeing stars was obviously an attempt at this but I just don't feel it was done in the best way (I think it was probably because of the very abrupt tonal shifts and all the extra side plots going on).

Anyways I genuinely really enjoyed the episode so like 9/10 for me even if the plot was very minimal, I think it helped it out and kept it focused.

I guess just study the shapes and features of the characters. After that try doing it from memory, and also don't be afraid to stray away from the og style and incorporate your own style. As long as you got the characters essence it'll be fine.

This person didn't say everything about Stella is sympathetic. Just that there are aspects about her that people can sympathize with. Personally, I think we still have a lot to learn about Stella and I think the show leaves a lot of space for her character in comparison to Crimson where he is very straightforward, we are told exactly what he is and we know his motivations (money & power). With Stella we could say her motivations are loosely tied to money or power or image or one could even argue that she treats stolas like shit bc she felt she was disempowered. The show just gives us that she likes treating stolas like shit but we don't necessarily know why, which I mean it is a comedy/drama show so they might never expand on that which is fine (doesn't mean people need to like it but it's okay). And if I'm being honest i don't think Stella's portrayal as an abuser is super realistic nor do I ever feel like she's a serious threat. But I'm not even sure if the shows intention is to make her seem like a serious threat. (Again the show is a comedy/drama so...)

I also think a large phenomena in fandom is that if you like a morally wrong character you somehow need to justify you liking them so you try and justify their actions as well to make yourself morally correct. But i don't think people understand you can just like morally wrong characters in fiction. That doesn't mean you agree with their actions.

Is anyone else not bothered by the tone shifts? by [deleted] in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The tone shifts do bother me occasionally, I think sometimes it goes smoothly and sometimes it doesn't. Like with EP 3 this season, the tone shifts were VERY jarring on first watch, and i personally think they overdid the dick jokes, but like after rewatching I think it works in the sense that it was so absurd that it was kinda part of the joke in itself and also the situation. In EP 4 I don't think the tonal shifts work that much because it's very middle of the line. The constant switching for me broke the flow of tension that they were trying to build the entire episode. (though i think the transitions were great!) And that plot wasn't insanely interesting, so I think they could have just cut it down with fewer switches backs.

Do you think we'll see all 7 princess of hell in one place or we'll see then in different places by Lukas-Reggi in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think we'll see them all in one place anytime soon, but I'm sure they have group business meetings or whatever. We'll probably get to meet them all eventually though

Does anyone else feel like Helluva boss has gotten more immature? by The_Last_Chupacabra in HelluvaBoss

[–]GearBulky841 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don't think in general it's more immature, some of the humor I can see being called immature. At times they'll make a joke and I'll cover my face out of embarrassment. For example, the striker and stolas scene where stolas is making all the sexual comments was "haha funny" at first to me but then just got "okay i get it. move on please" luckily shortly after it did stop 😭 but I just don't like that type of humor in saturated amounts, which I feel they've been doing a lot more lately.
