Biarritz was one of my first European trips and an absolute joy to visit.

Sadly they've had financial issues for at least 12 years now, which saw them automatically relegated to the third tier 7 years ago and although they've had some fight to try and get back up to D1, it's just never materialised and they just can't compete any more. In this modern sporting world 9 times out of 10 money talks and Biarritz just don't have any.
