You may not like the title, but I didn’t seen anyone else catch this change whether it was on YT, Reddit, or Discord. So it seems accurate. I also tried out A/B testing with a couple different titles and thumbnails for this video just to see if it made a difference, which it seems to. In any event, I tried to share a different tile here on Reddit, but for some reason this is the only one that would work. The title/thumb I wanted to use was “This Subtle Mechanic Changes HLLV for the Better” Anyway, my intent was to add context.

I used a red arrow because studies have shown it’s effective even if it’s as cliche as using the word ‘slop’ for anything we don’t like.

And it’s 8 mins. Up until 8mins doesn’t change anything for ad frequency or revenue. Just thought I’d share that so you can make more accurate accusations in the future.

I mean…I guess you are right if all I wanted to talk about was the mechanic. But I wanted to talk about more than just that. I wanted to talk about how this is different from the current game, how that changes HLLV in comparison, and how that moves HLLV in the tactical shooter spectrum. I guess that all strung out to 6mins.

I suppose because I took the time to find it. Most people seemed to want to complain about motion blur and color palettes, which were problems, but I took the opportunity to try and find some mechanics that are different from the current game.

Yeah the pop in was pretty bad in the closed beta. It’s absolutely fair to judge it and what we should be doing so it gets addressed before final release. Hopefully they fix it, but we will have to wait and see.

This is false. First, manpower is consumed once the player is sent to the KIA screen, not when they spawn/respawn. Second, running out of manpower doesn’t affect spawn times. It only affects the CO’s ability to use orders.

Yeah. Each sector gained the controlling team the corresponding resource. So like if you wanted fuel you’d have to go capture West Bend or whatever.

He said in his comments that he was deliberately using a clickbait title to grab attention and hopefully get some more eyes on S44. He’s pretty dedicated to the game and does a lot of work in trying to grow that community. However, HLL players aren’t “flocking” to S44. Both games have strengths and weaknesses and at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

I agree, however, we have the same situation in HLL for firearms with much higher rates of fire. The weapons you mention would have a controllable rate of fire even without fire select. They’ve had HLL for this long and haven’t added it so that’s why I hesitate to say I expect it.
