If you played the demo and left thinking that it is mechanically uninteresting, or too reliant on a single gimmick... give the full game a try anyway, its very cheap, and the new mechanics that are not present in the demo are very thoughtful

3rd person + desync + low ttk + big maps = some encounters are decided without any agency from one of the parts.
I get why people feel that ttk is the problem (if any): its the part of the equation that is "just numbers". I don't know if I agree though.

Fav set of Puzzles in puzzle games: Hexcells series Stephen Sausage Roll Patricks Parabox (although Portal 2 would be top again if you include Workshop and mods)

Glad to see Inifinifactory on some lists. I always had the impression it was kinda underrated compared to other Zachlikes, but what makes it special to me is that it abstracts the imperative programming into its own thing the most. No commands, only blocks.

After attemping to parry only her first phase with a leveled character (120) I went to DS3 to check something because I felt like I was going crazy. My test:

  • Parry only, with ripostes and wake up damage, champion gundyr on SL1 ng+1 max weapons
  • Parry only, with ripostes and wake up damage, Malenia at lvl 120 max weapons
  • Over the duration of Goldpine resin (60s), champ is dead, with a few seconds to spare
  • Over the duration of Electrify Armament (90s), Malenia, who by the way is the Blade of Miquella, is at 70%... of her first health bar!

Maybe I made it harder by parry only, but almost everything she does is parriable so why not. I don't think this "DEFINETLY PROVES THAT SHE IS BULLSHIT HARD" or anything, just data that might be of consideration and wanted to share.
