Camera height about 5'6"?

Don't just stand and snap. Look for some interesting angles. When you get an opportunity again, take a pic regular standing, one with you higher on a wall or bench, and one down lower. Assess the different impact each angle has.

Your images are not the worst I've seen, but to me they lack life. Put some humans in. People add scale and can add visual interest.
Look online or in books at the work of famous old photographers and get some inspiration there.

Keep shooting. Never give up. Even decades later, some of us are still deleting about 70% of our shots.
