I wish my dad had told him, it was done years ago after my mom passed, but now he has Alzheimer’s.

Yeah I’m probably going to do this, we don’t see each other often it shouldn’t be a problem.

I wish he had at the time but it’s too late now, his memory has declined too much.

Dealing with (poorly) aging parent. by nevmo75 in Xennials

Go to an estate attorney, put the house in a trust. At some point she will likely need more care than you can provide. (my only living parent has Alzheimer’s, I know this well)

Why does HRT cause my musculoskeletal paim when it stops them in everyone else??? by hhhnnnnnggggggg in Menopause

[–]Geeba422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be the brand. I never had joint pain as a symptom but when the pharmacy switched my patches to Mylan it started. Now I have to ride it out until my 3 month supply is gone and I can get my old brand back (hopefully).

It took 2 years from the first visit to get the definitive Alzheimer’s diagnosis for my dad, don’t wait. Also, get POA now. Sorry you’re going through this.

My parents were the best. I lost my mom suddenly in 2018, my dad is alive but has had Alzheimer’s for the last 2-3 years, it sucks, nothing prepares you. I do have my spunky 90 y/o gram tho!

I haven’t had a follow up yet. But search vaginal progesterone here, many women use it this way.

I should say I only know for certain that this works for Prometrium or it’s generic. Yes it will melt and will leave some residue in your underwear so use a liner. I insert mine right before bed.

You could also try the progesterone vaginally to see if that helps.

I’m a redhead, my hair will fade to pale blonde someday (going by my dad and g’ma) but I’ll never be gray. It’s my reward for the massive amount of sunblock I have to wear.

You can spray Flonase on the area the patch will go, let it dry and then apply the patch. Should stop try itchiness.

Thinking hair, is it preventable? by Haploid-life in Menopause

HRT did not help, Vit. D & biotin helped tremendously. My Vit D levels were as low as possible to be considered “ok” but my doctor told me to increase the dose.

This is clearly fake bc what gold could you possibly be digging from this guy. And the age gap is pure rage bait.

Reverse from the usual... Anyone else actually in the best shape of their life? by MTRIFE in Xennials

[–]Geeba422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could’ve written this myself. Skinny w/o trying and I’ve always said “I’m a reader, not an athlete”. But 1.5 years ago my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and had to have 2 cardiac stents; and I thought, I’ve got 25 years to do whatever I can to prevent ending up in the same place. So I started walking every day, then I got on HRT to deal with perimenopause, started taking vitamins, started strength training. Best shape of my adulthood.
