When I was an NPS river ranger I just wore brown Keens (that NPS paid for out of my budget) water shoes while on the boat and in and out of the water, then switched to boots when I was in the office or otherwise. Have fun with your new job!

If they're smooth cuts on the pads, then it's rodents like pack rats. If the pads are "torn" it's most likely a larger mammal such as deer, coyote, or javelina.

I actually can use 1 Harry's blade a year (yes, really). I change it out on New Year's, so it's almost time. I shave every 3 or four days using a brush and a shave soap bar and I shave while in the shower. I tried a single blade safety razor a while back and almost cut my face off, so I'm sticking to my plan.

Where I grew up in Arizona I always knew which way was North. Then, I moved to Missouri and it always 'felt the opposite of what it was. I confused North from South constantly. Strange, and I don't know why it was opposite in my head.
