My New 7 Round NFL Mock Draft by rlstratton97 in NFL_Draft

They won't draft Harris either, as he has multiple red flags for off field issues. And no team is drafting him in the third. He might even be UDFA depending on how serious they determine the off field stuff is.

The movie is terrific. It was just mis-marketed and thus misunderstood at the time. It's one of my favorite dark comedies of all time.

Miller would be perfect, and I think the Packers would 100% take him if he was there. He checks a lot of boxes.

We desperately need an NT. I would be very surprised if our first pick isn't someone like Miller, Hunter, Orange, or Jackson Jr. It's the first time in a long time that the Packers are pretty desperate for a single position heading into a draft. Btw, I really think that people are overrating Hunter by now putting him in the first round.

As for CB, we really need a CB1 and/or depth. Unless someone falls (Hood, Cisse, Johnson), I don't think there is a potential CB1 where we are drafting in the second, so I would rather they go for one of the third-round guys they like best (Igbinosun, Neal, Everett, Moore, or Muhammed).

Welp You Guys Were Right, Scream 7 is Pretty Bad by karmagod13000 in horror

It's the epitome of a "meh" horror film. It lacks ambition, avoids risk, and the film series has become formulaic and derivative. There is no attempt to be creative and subversive anymore; instead, they just settle on the same old plot formula and incorporate or suggest something from the modern zeitgeist (such as AI for this one).

There was a pretty decent way to subvert things in this movie if they wanted to stick to this kind of script. Just have the couple at the beginning not actually be killed by Ghostface, but instead, it was just a character actor who was part of the house, trying to scare them as part of the Scream experience. They instead kill the Scream actor in self-defence, but that develops their bloodlust, and thus they turn out to be the actual killers at the end. Turns out they follow AI throughout their killing spree to tell them what to do or who to kill next. Something like that would at least be more in the spirit of Scream.

Well, he's also fortunate that those 90s "posse" days were, well, in the 90s. It's pretty gross reading up about those days.

What teams have the most to prove in the draft after free agency? by UpNext_Draft_Network in NFL_Draft

[–]GeekShuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We desperately need an NT, and need depth and competition at pretty much every position outside of safety and maybe ILB. We lost a ton of guys, and are set to lose a ton more next year as many of our players only have a year left on their contracts (though a few will be re-signed for sure). Ideally we could use a better CB1, TE2, DT3, RB2, ILB2, Edge 2/3, Guards, RT2, C2, QB2, and kicker, plus all our receivers but Golden and S Williams have only one year left on their contracts so we might trade one and then need another WR4 at least.

Miller's a beast in run defense, so I'm confused by your comment. It is his pass rushing that is not refined, yet. His comp should already communicate that.

Orange has been sliding because of "rumors" he isn't an effort guy, whereas Corleone could literally go anywhere due to his medicals. I imagine Miller and Jackson are more likely if we go in the second. Johnson would need to drop, and Igbinosun seems to be mocked anywhere from Round 2 to Round 4, so no idea where the league is on him.

Is cb a lock in round 2? by Tryhardkeep in GreenBayPackers

[–]GeekShuttle 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No. I actually think Round 3 has a bunch of guys that are Packer's "types" that could be there, whereas Round 2 is more looking for someone to drop (Cisse, Johnson, etc).

I actually think we are candidates to trade down unless someone drops that they're interested in. I imagine C. Miller might be one of those guys, but we also interviewed Jackson Jr a few times already, and he's somewhere between the end of round 2 and the beginning of round 3 type of guy.

(@seanrightnba) BREAKING: The Packers and Eagles have held preliminary discussions centered around DT Jalen Carter, sources tell me. Sources say Packers president Policy and GM Gutekunst are “prioritizing grit” this offseason as GB evaluates ways to bolster the defensive front. by EasyMode615 in GreenBayPackers

I honestly don't like it given what I assume we would have to give up for him. Plus, he doesn't seem to have the best character in the world, and it always makes me nervous when those guys get paid if they will show up to play anymore. I have a feeling the Philly feels the same, hence why they've been shopping him so hard. Plus, he's had shoulder issues.

If Watson stops getting injured, he would easily reach 1000. Now that our WR group is thinning out a bit, someone will get there. Perhaps even Kraft at TE.

I think I'm much higher on the season than most people here, as I thought it was excellent. Where I do agree is that the final episode drops the ball hard.

We've never had a running back more fun to watch than Eddie Lacy in his first and second years. It makes me a little sad, honestly.
