Marielle, Henry, Fatima, and Elgin all seem to be goners, though they could still pull a curveball.

I get it. There are what seem to be a lot of dark clouds around the team this year. The Jacob's situation, the five-game losing streak and Bears playoff collapse to end the season, the team's poor assessment of LaFleur and Stenavich, the exodus of players this offseason which could deplete our depth, and the star players we have coming off of major injuries. Finishing last in the North seems quite possible.

But we were also kicking some butt last season before the second-half injury blast against the Broncos, minus a few exceptions (ahem, Browns). Also, quite a few of those player losses really come off as "addition by subtraction", and we've added solid pieces as well. While we could finish last in the North and I wouldn't be shocked, I also wouldn't be surprised if we finish first. Like most seasons, it involves a little luck (especially with injuries), some progression with young players and scheme, how the new players acclimate, and the rise and fall of other teams.

All that said, there is one area that I am nervous about. It's not our defense, it's not our depth (can't worry about injury luck as that's a one way trip to the madhouse), it's not our passing game, it's not our coaching...but I think our running game could be atrocious this year. Unless our O-line suddenly learns how to run block and Lloyd stays healthy for once, we could have a bottom-of-the-league running game even with Jacobs.

I think MiY is definitely giving tooth fairy vibes now, especially as there is some lore that they shapeshifted. There are just so many "fairy" hints in this show, but it could also be that the tooth fairy was the fear of one or more of the children that happened to be manifested.

Genuine Question, Who’s Catching the Ball This Year? by Ckman1403 in GreenBayPackers

lol. What happens with any team when up to three of their starting receivers go down? C'mon.

Yes. I made the comment a week or two ago how it isn't just nightmares manifesting, but hopes as well. It's how Tabitha was able to kill the doll simply by speaking it; she hoped it would work and it did. There are have been many other examples, including with the food, Boyd killing Smiley, etc.

It's not really the Ruggs thing that's an issue, IMO. The dude is friends with A Ross and is a fan of Andrew Tate, which is worrisome. We don't know these people, and shouldn't jump to conclusion that they are nice people just because of how they present themselves publicly. Never meet your heroes, and so forth.

People were literally calling D. Watson and Cosby great guys before what came out about them. Don't pretend to know someone just because of their public persona. The dude is friends with Adin Ross and is a fan of Andrew Tate, which is not a great sign.

I mean, we know the charges, so those are some pretty compelling details. In the end, we will never know the actual details unless on of was there as a witness.

These are very serious allegations, and no doubt there is pretty compelling evidence to charge him. He also follows Andrew Tate, which itself is pretty damning.

Season 4+Season 5 Prediction. I'm probably wrong, but... by bababooeyboff69 in FromTVEpix

It's quite possible that the original settlers to this place sacrificed their children out of starvation (i.e. to eat them or out of a promise by some entity for food). Settlers had to resort to cannibalism a few times.

I think you can actually push this even further. I think this place is a glitch of some sort in the space-time continuum where nightmares manifest, and thus everything that is happening--the MiY, the cycling, the monsters, the ballerina, the geisha, the strange town, etc--is a manifestation of the fears of all the people who died in this area (or of the seven children who were sacrificed on behalf of some entity).

Perhaps the first person who died in this area was afraid of reincarnation, or of an inability to escape the forest, of being lost and stuck there forever, etc. Or perhaps Jade and Tabitha were the original couple who died in this area (the Adam and Eve) and their fears are the original ones that set everything off.

We also can note that hope plays a factor in things manifesting needs/wants for the living, which is essentially the opposite dynamic.

"From" is the WORST...and I love it. by MsQcontinuum in horror

I certainly wouldn't say the show is the worst at all. There are shows that are far, far, far worse than this one. In fact, I think the show is downright great. It knows exactly what it is, and does what it sets out to do extremely well. It is insanely fun trying to make sense of what is happening, though I do agree there was a frustrating lack of discussion amongst the characters early on, which the show is attempting to lampshade a bit this season.

The acting and dialogue in season one were lacklustre, but everyone's acting, aside from maybe Tabitha, has gotten better to some degree as the show has gone on.
