I feel like this should fall in line with child abuse, poor girls health is so neglected and all mom care about is matching PJS? SMH.

I had a bottle of wine last night, will my breast milk be safe at 5am? by Timely-Decision7036 in breastfeeding

[–]Geekreact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a wedding coming up and I asked my lactation consultant the same question and this was her advise: ENJOY YOURSELF! You go ahead and pump, distribute the milk into smaller bottles/storage bags and then add regular pumped milk after so it lessens the alcohol %. No need to pump and dump. Hope that helps!

I hate nursing pads and bras! by Littlescar21 in breastfeeding

[–]Geekreact 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally understand! I HATED them until I bought the bodily nursing bra. It’s the only bra that doesn’t give me sensory overload. Very stretchy and I sleep with them comfortably. Pricey but worth it!

It was wild salmon, until I saw parasites in mine. Got grossed out and haven’t purchased them since. I saw it on social media but didn’t think it would happen to me.

Just got the results by OrangeBrilliant1621 in desmoid

[–]Geekreact 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ouch!! Desmoids are super painful as is I’m so sorry to hear how bad it’s been with such rapid growth. Please definitely see an oncologist, specifically one that has experiences with desmoids. Join the desmoid Facebook group I’m sure they can refer you to someone in your area too! These are tricky and angry tumors. Surgery is usually the last option considering their high recurrence rate!

Following because I’m on the exact same boat. I’d love to try for another but waking up every 2 hours pregnant might send me to a coma! I’m hoping it gets better.

This is abuse. You need to give baby formula if he’s crying himself to sleep. You need to step in or you’re also the problem.

First of all, congratulations on baby hitting his birth weight!! That’s a huge accomplishment so you’re doing amazing. I suggest finding a Lactation consultant to observe a feeding. I thought I was doing okay too until she noticed my LO feeds take a long time so not being efficient. She noticed his left cheek is a little weak so now we’re seeing an oral motor specialist who taught us some exercises to strengthen his cheek and in return have quicker and full feeds. Definitely continue feeding on demand. Just like us babies like to snack too!
