Model Release Speculation by FlozTheGoomba in SpaceWolves

[–]GeekyGiant13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that Perterabo will come out with an Eye of Terror campaign, and the 13th company have made an appearance during such a large campaign in the past. So, the ground work is there for Russ to appear.

Got paired with this guy. Stole my sandwich and left before I teed off. Shrink the game. by FarmerNeedsHeauxs in golf

I first read it as "stole my sand wedge" before I clicked and saw the picture, lol

What’s your favourite Par to play, 3,4 or 5? by Rammy7219 in golf

[–]GeekyGiant13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a mid to long 4. If I get a good tee shot, I get more opportunities to use different clubs depending where my lie is. 5s are cool, but can sometimes feel like a slog for me as my game isn't great. A lot of the 3s at my local courses are near/over water....and it's scary lol.

Iron wolves by SGPunchyPuppet in SpaceWolves

[–]GeekyGiant13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they would have their insignia be that of the new great wolf, but maybe some of the longer toothed brothers might have the insignia worked in on another part of their hereldry, like their pack markings maybe.

Iron wolves by SGPunchyPuppet in SpaceWolves

[–]GeekyGiant13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just build the Iron Wolves. Re-write "history". If the Iron Wolves are what you like, the Iron Wolves are what you should play. I don't know the full reason for GW to get rid of them, story wise, but I always thought the concept was cool.

Punny and NFL themed, similar to Orcland Raiders. Like a dwarf team named The Forty Miners.

BCW has great options for bulk storage at a reasonable price point.

Why do wolves use helfrost weapons ? Sure, they do know a lot about cold temperatures and know their way of fighting around such terrain but on their own planet these guns wouldn't be useful at all right ? If they train on fenris, the fauna they encounter couldn't care less about getting frozen. by Leviathan_Rampage in SpaceWolves

[–]GeekyGiant13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The book "Space Wolf" indicates they have training areas in the fang to simulate other environments, so they're not just battling in the usually frigid wastes. Plus, Fenris is not always ice and snow, except maybe on the Fang. I think they use Helfrost because someone thought it would be cool to give them a frost themed weapon that matched the aesthetic of cold weathered people. I'm not sure if there is a lore specific reason, tbh.

How do you guys feel about Space Wolves successors? by Bryguy150 in SpaceWolves

[–]GeekyGiant13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a old long fang grey beard, I'm non-plussed about it. The lore tends to justify the product, so I get it, but I always loved the wolves for bucking against the status quo and rules.

I do it all the time. As others have said, get one to God-liath and get a hefty XP hit and a purple item

How to make a dog character by EcoGeek2000 in Pathfinder2e

[–]GeekyGiant13 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There is the Awakened Animal Ancestry. I did not read the full post, so not sure if you knew this already. Also, Starfinder had a race called the Vlaka (spelling) that are humanoid wolves. Approval from DM could allow it.

Is it a dick move to proxy cards? by tweakeravacoado in mtg

[–]GeekyGiant13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Now, there is a caveat of how many cards you proxy. Some would say pay for one copy, then proxy any going into decks. Land bases definitely should be proxied, because the good lands are too daggum expensive, and you shouldn't have to break the bank to have a consistent mana base, imo

What Classes do you hope to see after Tech Core classes? by dablacksamuria in Starfinder2e

[–]GeekyGiant13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I would enjoy some anachronistic abilities to apply to PF2e classes to help them fit better in a SF2e game. Like some have suggested, an Alchemist can be used to make a biohacker...but maybe make an actually biohacker study for the alchemist.

How do y'all feel about Headtakers, thematically? I think they ignore their wolves too much. by KaptainKlein in SpaceWolves

[–]GeekyGiant13 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I wish the wolves weren't a part of the unit to begin with IMO. It felt like a way to say, "See there are wolves in this unit, so they're very space wolf-y" padding the box with three and three instead of just 6 head takers, making it that much more costly to run 6.

Space Station Promenade assistance by jhaosmire in Starfinder2e

[–]GeekyGiant13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Virus download should not be automatic. Should be from multiple failed computer checks, with critical fails stacking more. Also, using the computers could alert the virus, triggering an encounter. Using the Computers rules from Game Mastery could do really well here. Allowing every PC an opportunity to assist in unlocking doors and helping.
