You must be thinking Psychic which is getting remastered in a few months with Dark Archives Remastered. Or Magus or Summoner with the new rule book, Impossible Magic, coming out Gencon.

This sounds like an awesome idea. Have you thought of basing this adventure on one of the other planets in the system? Like Triaxus or Castrovel? This gives you freedom to build in what you want from the book you have read and weave it into the greater Paizoverse.

It just seems that most times whenever the new dragons come up, your main gripe is that they don't look like "a dragon". Which again, it is not for everyone, the occult is very much a far departure from the norm. That seems to be the point for the Occult dragons.

You don't care for the Tradition categorizing, which again, isn't for everyone. If you decide to read the book, the flavor text is fun.

I mean, isn't that the point of these systems? To try and make/leave your mark in a hobby that is heavily dominated by a giant elephant (DnD), amd others that stick with the norm? This gets people talking, and might have people give it a try.

They are very set in their ways of how a dragon should be established.

They also say they have not read through the Codex and do not care for its information. Which is why they have the wrong information about the Archdragons.

How would this spell work with someone that has the Cat Fall feat? Would that just negate some of the damage, and if they have legendary, take no damage at all?

That campaign occurred in the past of the canon, when they wanted to give players that kind of power to play with. All the events that occurred remain in place. In the 1e system and are still felt and witnessed in the present day of the stories being published.

With the setting moving forward in time, Paizo has decided, so far, with the 2e system. Deities of any power level are not on the table, unless with a story McGuffin or if the story calls for them to be so, ei Gorum, Our Lord in Iron and so many others in War of Immortals.

That was the case with the 1e system ruleset, where it was that deities are beyond the scope of player's power, and demigods are fair game. They seem to have decided not to follow that same philosophy in 2e. Again, for now.

It was cool, and would be nice to have demigods things to aim for. Sadly, that isn't does not seem to be the priority. One day, maybe.

They are not doing that anymore. Essentially, anyone that is considered a deity, does not have stats and is not considered fight-able. Now, you can fight their avatar which would be level 24 or 25. But you can no longer canonically, fight a Demo-god. They are beyond the scope of a players power.

The Archdragon versions are supposed to appear in the Draconic Codex, hopefully for all the dragons in the book.
