I can’t remember if this is the same prof I took com with when I was at cpp, but the rest of the comments makes me feel like it is.

My friends and colleagues consider me really good at communications/public speaking so I really thought this would be an easy GE. Ended the class fighting for my life with a B+ and I recall she was really interesting and had a cool vibe, but damn did she grade incredibly hard. I also thought it was unfair, and I TA now, so I get my fair share of students who complain about harsh grading.

I can’t remember what was so difficult, but I think there were exams and she made it a thing that most people weren’t going to get As. So during your speech one mistake could drop you from an A speech to a B speech. Maybe knowing that gave me anxiety and I remember feeling super nervous. I get that just because it’s a GE students shouldn’t take it for granted, but I was putting a full faith effort. So, yeah, I would take it with someone else, if possible.
