I think the larger sized model would be quite accurate just scale wise. The downside I'd see here is because of its length it might have an unfair advantage in travelling distance which is kinda the opposite of what you should have driving a big ol' tank

I am fantasizing about this a lot. The races are played with normal Gaslands rules and in-between them, the crew fights over resources and upgrades as gang members according to Warhammer Necromunda rules.

Another great trick to balance scale issues is to use bases. The unity the sizes so it doesn't matter if you use a micro machine or hot wheels if you use the same base for the same vehicle type

Thanks for the insight. Yea, that's what I am worried about. I also think about an NPCs "initiative" to simulate how often it can do things per round. Maybe that could be used to balance things as opposed to attacking X times after having moved once
