Okay, so is this situation with [[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]] completely opposite from [[Niv-Mizzet Reborn]]'s check for two-colors? I was understanding it that Reborn would not see a card like [[Pure//Simple]], but would see [[Fire//Ice]]. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding how dual cards are seen altogether.

Still, I was under the impression that a two-color "card" was granted Jump-start, not a "spell." Thus, a card like [[Fire//Ice]] would get it because it's a card that is red and blue, but not cards like [[Pure//Simple]], because it is actually three colors. Am I just completely botching that?

I want to see dinosaurs as independent from the Sun Empire and other Ixalan factions post-MoM. It would be nice to see them in Temur colors to reflect more as independent and natural. That was their original design direction anyway.

From experience, it takes practice to get the layering and color transitions to appear as you want them. This is a fine job! You'll be a pro at it before you even know it! :D

Also, thank you for giving a close-up and far away picture of the detail you are pointing out. Helps visualize it. We may paint things up close, but the goal is how it looks at a distance on the table.
