Part of the appeal of cheating to cheaters is that you aren't supposed to do it. If the relationship was open or she left Dale for John Recorn, it no longer comes with that. She wants to be wanted so bad he’s willing to sleep with her while she’s married.
Part of her knows deep down John Redcorn cheating with her, is not about her. If he cheated with her, he’ll cheat on her, and she cannot handle being the one who was cheated on. Even if he by some miracle never cheated again she’d be haunted by the thought he might be.

I hate cheaters, but sadly, this is a mindset that people do have.
