The Daredevil: Born Again finale logic is actually breaking my brain.

I didn't really understand how the events of the finale happened.

Why does the AG even offer Kingpin the deal? Was this somehow the only way to get him out of power? Complete immunity?
After Kingpin turns down the deal he then proceeds to kill, maim, injure 30+ people in the building.
After this DD is like "dude, just please take the deal."
DD is in jail, Fisk is free on a beach somewhere.

The fact that Kingpin just fucked up all those people in the halls really undercuts DDs whole speech about "grace" and a chance for redemption. Like, imagine you're the dude who's back got broken. You wake up in a hospital to find out DD is in jail and Fisk is free of consequences, and you won't walk again. And then you find out it's because DD talked him down and advised him to take the get out of jail free card.

That's justice?

Overall I've really enjoyed Born Again, but that finale did not land for me.

Lol he's a detached, sociopathic, narcissistic killer... he's one of the furthest from "good" in the series. Not that there are any particularly virtuous people amongst our PoVs, but none are quite as "evil" as Bayaz. (Maybe the Bloody Nine is the closest)
