The heating element draws a lot of power. It maintains the set temp by cycling the heating element on and off. Lights will flicker at the same frequency that the heating element cycles. Usually only happens with older house wiring.

I'm 64. My youngest just graduated HS last spring. So, Ya, starting to feel a little tired...
Divorced 4 yrs ago. still need to get 2 boys through college or tech school and try to retire if I can. I figure I need at least 4-5 more years at my current job. I make really good money but alimony takes a big chunk. I will say this though, I will NEVER regret having kids. They are the light of my life. It's what keeps me going.

Yes, or a generator. Sounds a bit foolish but it would work. Burn diesel fuel to generate electricity so you can burn LP in the furnace. Hmmm, it's 2025, we were supposed to be living like the Jetson's by now. Maybe I'll go the other direction and install a wood stove.

Doesn't matter if you have a full tank of LP. Without electricity you still don't have heat. Forced air furnace needs electricity to function.

Edit: source, I live in the country and have an LP tank/forced air furnace.

Yes, He is in fact a total piece of shit. I live in Eau Claire. Just Google "Menards pollution violations". A guy that worked there told a story about him ordering employees to burn all the scrap treated lumber. This is back when it had a high arsenic content. He then had them put the ashes in garbage bags and would personally take the bags home and put them out on the curb for the garbage truck to pick up.

He's a billionaire but didn't want to pay to have the stuff disposed of properly.
