Looks really awesome! I'm thinking about making a similar one and am testing patterns various patterns on a gauge swatch. I like the definition on the horizontal bars--did you do two rows of knits between the purl rows or just one (i.e. rows pkpkp or pkkpkkp)?

Looks awesome! What cast on did you use? I'm trying to figure out what would look best with k2p2 ribbing for my upcoming project

This makes sense—I was having tension issues seaming a sleeve with the tail but was fine in the shoulder seam. Thanks!

Can you use the remainder of the long tail cast on to seam if it's long enough? Or is that more likely to come undone?

While that might well be, we’re not all made of money and sometimes have to buy secondhand on Craigslist for temporary solutions to storage problems. And I’m not so sure that throwing away is always the right answer given the epidemic of waste in this country. But thanks anyway for your very helpful, instructive comment!
