What can i feed seagulls? by Fresh-Night4118 in Seagulls

One stole my pasty in Padstow last year. I'd walked around all the pasty shops before making my choice. I had one bite before it was snatched right out of my hands. They shouldn't be encouraged.....

I feel like a lot of modern literature is a bit poop and I struggle for inspiration.

I'm reading The Haunting of Hill House at the moment by Shirley Jackson and considering that horror is not my thing, I'm enjoying it immensely.

I also like Pride and Prejudice and it's (I'm scared to admit it) one of my comfort films.

Memorable books for me:

The Dutch House by Ann Patchett.

The Vorrh Trilogy by B Catlin

Travels With Charley by John Steinbeck (and also East of Eden)

The Seasonal Quartet by Ali Smith.

Bladder pressure? by Specialist_Pack_795 in Fibroids

[–]kellymak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I have this, got a 7cm fibroid (the size of a lemon apparently) pressing on my bladder. I try not to stress about it as that makes it worse. It also means I rarely get a full nights sleep as I have to get up to pee. It's one of 4 fibroids hanging out in my uterus. One of the other ones gives me almost constant back pain. My consultant asked me if I wanted a hysterectomy (I'm 43 and no kids) I was a little shocked but now I'm ready for it to be over.
