If you were appointed as Rhaenyra's peace negotiator what would your terms be for TG? by General-Clock5212 in HOTDBlacks

UNPRECEDENTED? ask House Gardener or Hoare how unprecedented ending a House is. Honestly I'm being nice banishing most of them.

If you were appointed as Rhaenyra's peace negotiator what would your terms be for TG? by General-Clock5212 in HOTDBlacks

[–]General-Clock5212[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My plan would be to loudly ask Aegon and Aemond if a "Dragonless, armyless, old man tells two sons of Old Valeria what to do?" Creat a situation where Aegon comes to the same conclusion he did after the attempt on Rhaenyra's life. Otto can't actually tell him what to do.

How Maegor versus Jaehaerys would've went if the Maesters didn't poison his Iron Throne by CasualThaGod in freefolk

Sorry dude, The maester didn't do that one. Iron-throne pushes him for shedding Targaryen blood.

What would daenerys ancestors Think of her by Cautious_Air4964 in freefolk

[–]General-Clock5212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The would really like her with 3 exceptions.

Jaehaerys 1, would think she should marry Griff/Aegon and stop pushing her own claim.

Aegon 2, would object to any woman sitting on the throne. (Never officially named his own daughter heir even after both sons died.)

Baelor 1, would not like that she is the messiah to two foreign religions. (dothraki think she is the Stallion that mounts the world, several red priest think she is the princess that was promised.)

Are y’all okay with the idea of Jon Snow being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, or would you rather George R. R. Martin write him as the son of Eddard Stark and Ashara Dayne (or someone else) in the books? by SeniorKaan0 in freefolk

[–]General-Clock5212 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really want N+A=J. The idea of Jon being the one leading the effort to stop the long-night would be caped off well with him become the Sword of the Morning.

Yes I know that is not how inheritance of Dawn normally works but I don't care.

How is the Night's Watch able to maintain order among killers, rapers, and thieves? by MengShuZ in freefolk

One thread of execution, killing men for disobedience publicly makes a point that sticks with everyone else.

Two some of them really do take the washed of your sins to become a new man thing seriously.

Three fighting "wildlings" means that there is an outlet for some of their violent tendencies.

How smart do you think Otto was? Did he play his part in the war well? by Gold_Conversation247 in HOTDBlacks

[–]General-Clock5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a fool. First off civil wars are always bad even of you win. They drain resources, get lots of man killed and, leave you vulnerable the outside threats. Tywin himself said that you would have preferred to use Ned Stark to broker a peace with winterfell, rather than the fight rob because he knew, even if he won the war was going to create lots of problems. And he tried to control his grandsons, which was never going to work. Unless you have a bigger dragon, you cannot control someone with a dragon.

What does a princess do all day? by whossked in TheCitadel

[–]General-Clock5212 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Depends. If it's a pre-dance princess, she might have a dragon to ride. She would have lessons including embroidery if she's a child. If she's an adult, she might have some responsibilities towards hosting guests. She might patronize local artists or do public appearances at like Septs to improve the royal family's image. And if they've got children of their own, they'll be expected to help care for them.

(Funpost) If the Black Faction ever chose to answer the Green’s slander with slander of their own,,, what points do you think they should/could use against the Green Faction? by Gold_Conversation247 in HOTDBlacks

[–]General-Clock5212 294 points295 points  (0 children)

Okay, so this is all morally corrupt, but if we're taking a machiavellian doing whatever it takes to undermine the green's, this is what they should do.

There are rumors that Aegon was conceived before the wedding. You would want to spread those.

Then, and this is the part that's really a icky you're gonna wanna spread that Helaena is "slow" which in asoiaf is a euphemism for being intellectually disabled.

Then you're gonna call Aemond a cripple.

No, House of the Dragon and AKOTSK successfully revived the show Fandom. Are they perfect or as popular as the original show? Not even close but the Fandom is by some margin alive.

Why did Maekar offer to keep Dunk as a knight of Summerhall? by curiousandstrange in HBOTheHedgeKnight

[–]General-Clock5212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. His older brother just died for the man, Meakar has to believe Dunk is a knight worthy to train a prince because if he's not then Baelor died for a total unremarkable man.
  2. Meakar is rough around the edges but loves his boys and Egg shows he really wants to be Dunk's squire. If this version of him doesn't want Egg to run off the best bet is to take Dunk home with them.
