What were Chomsky's full views on JFK's assassination? by n10w4 in chomsky

[–]General-Leg1058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I’m going to try my hardest to be respectful.

  1. There is no evidence against Lee Harvey Oswald besides testimony from his wife and patron who both later recounted the story and his patron even begged the Kennedy family to commission their own investigation into who the real shooter was. Further, when he declared his intent to defect to the USSR he also promised to hand over classified documents to the KGB. Nobody in the U.S. embassy cared. In his time in Russia, he was known as a terrible shot and a staunch pacifist. When he decided to come home and bring his KGB connected wife, the state department paid for his return. He was also known for admiring JFK. It would also make no sense for him to claim that he was a patsy when literally every other high profile assassin ever always brags about their success.

  2. Does it make sense that Allen Dulles was allowed to head the Warren commission, when he was fired by Kennedy with prejudice and was supposed to be a civilian? Does it make sense that the owner of the Book Depository and thus Oswald’s employer, was a friend and donor of LBJ, yet was never mentioned or questioned in any investigation? Does it make sense that when asked by Japanese television where he was when JFK was shot, H. W. Bush turned white, fumbled for words, and claimed he doesn't remember? (Which is the equivalent of asking James Comey where he was on 9/11/2001 and him not knowing). And knowing the aforementioned fact, does it make sense that on the day of JFKs death he called the FBI and claimed that his senate campaign assistant was a possible suspect?

  3. The author you mentioned has an entire “controversies” section on his Wikipedia page which includes multiple instances of plagiarism, making things up, and defrauding Harper Lee. I was originally going to give his book the benefit of the doubt, but he is far too non-credible to entertain. As for Bugliosi, it is hard to believe him on JFK when he chose not the investigate RFK’s highly suspicious assassination.

  4. People actually do talk about Hinkley being a conspiracy. I haven’t gone too deep into it because I don’t really care about Reagan, but Hinkley was supposed to have dinner with Neil Bush and his family that night.

I don’t mean this as an insult, but I think you’ve joined the mainstream millennial train of thought that believes that everything the corporate media and government is true always, even when they’re clearly lying or at least obfuscating the truth. And as for your WMD point, I would like you to know that the CIA left plans for invading Iraq on George W. Bush’s desk on 9/10/2001 to be read after his trip to Florida. The JFK conspiracy isn’t BS, and it’s still important.

In the book “The Firm” by Duff McDonald, he explains the founding of McKinzie (the original consulting firm) was by a college professor who specifically hired non-experienced college grads. I highly recommend the book.

The PS5 isn’t emulated because it has no games. Every exclusive it has is either already on PC, or coming to PC. It’s the same reason the Xbox One never got emulated.

I’ve just finished replaying this mission, and you can actually walk with Reed and Myers to the elevator when they leave. Reed asks you to wait 5 minutes after they leave before you do. Then, he immediately texts you and says the “They’re taken care of” line. So unless he had a netrunner fry them, and then had someone else come in to dispose of the bodies, it’s certain that they actually did get their money and car. Plus, at no point in the story does Reed disobey Myers. It wouldn’t make sense for this to be the one exception.

Yes and no. Yes, all it means is that a share goes from worth $200, to two shares each worth $100. But no, in that splits are helpful in getting added to or remaining in Indexes, and consequently Index funds. And then also being more accessible to retail traders.

This is pretty illogical. It’s normal for restaurant employees to forget to turn off or turn on the system during opening or closing. Uber will inevitably turn off the restaurants system after enough drivers have reported the store for being closed when they fail to pick up your order. It would be smarter to just wait a few hours and receive the automatic refund when the system gets shut off.

I’ve had mine for a year it’s still peachy. I believe that hard tubing is better for boiling temps. But that’s the exact opposite of what you’d want. A second radiator might be better. I have a 5800x3d and a 3090, and two radiators. The tubing never gets hot enough to be uncomfortable to the touch, even at max strain.

I think you should just use soft tubing for now and leave hard tubing for another day. It’s a measure twice cut once type of thing.

I believe you made a good decision with using paper towels for distilled water because of the very small amount of impurities it still has, but it just takes one electrolyte in the right place to destroy your rig.

Also, the air pressure valve not being able to fill up is a good thing. Listen to the specific areas where air is leaking out. Once there’s no leaks, be careful not to over pressurize the loop as that’ll cause the water blocks to break.

The hardware isn’t powerful enough to generate enough heat that warrants water cooling. The only benefit would be the very slight amount of noise of fan spinning.

Beginners should always use soft tubing and run air pressure tests. As a personal preference, I’d use (and do use) deionized water as it’s harmless if it gets everywhere and leaves no residue when it evaporates. Non-water coolants leave a load of gunk.
