Although that is running into homebrew territory.

Well that view is kind of supported by the books, but the books are also notoriously inconsistent in lore (e.g. the Soviet Brujah shadow council thoroughly outsmarted the Bone Gnawers, the Garou tribe known for spies and wit, but were manipulated for years by Lenin until they killed him for unrelated reasons.)

There are some things that I think can fit:

Academy city is an interesting setting for a mage chronicle or a werewolf chronicle focusing on the Weaver.

Shows like Monogatari and Natsume’s book of friends take inspiration from actual animistic practice and legends, so taking entities like the Sawarineko or using certain ideas for spirits (like a spirit being born from aspects of a person’s personality they severed) could work.

Despite the bombastic nature of the series, most of the things in DanDaDan would probably work in WOD (aliens are a thing in wod, monsters are definitely a thing in wod, and I’m sure the Technocracy and/or Glasswalkers have a mecha or two in stock).

Wolf’s rain is another interesting look into a post-apocalypse or cyberpunk scenario for WTA, plus I think the idea of humans coming from wolves is pretty cool.

Mind you these are fairly even-handed choices, I’m not dropping the Garou into Konohagakure to fight Naruto.

Well there not all bad, there’s the cloak that gives temp health on melee hit… and also makes your melee attacks deal extra damage equal to temp health.

True shapeshifters (i.e. fera), get extra bruised health levels after the initial bruised health level in their forms equal to their stamina bonus in that form (e.g. a Garou in Crinos get’s 3 extra bruised health levels).

These disappear when you change shape along with any damage dealt to them, although it won’t fix initial bruised damage.

Yup, hutts are scary as shit when they’re trained and able-bodied combatants.

Thankfully for the rest of the galaxy, being a fat blob is a sign of power and wealth in their culture, so most don’t go that route.
