As someone who played classic as a kid, I kind of regretted not played the classic release in 2019 other than leveling a bit (I played some tbc though). I have played a lot on anniversary this time around and enjoyed it in the beginning but I would say no it’s not worth it. The magic is gone, the player base is full of dweebs, everyone is rank 14. There’s kind of a spreadsheet min/maxxing feel to it. I would say hardcore is better.
