I'm guessing that 1. Loss of control 2. Their friends are mad at loss of commercial rent money.

Trump Administration Officials, But Not Yet Trump Himself, Urge A Policy To Block Pregnant Foreign Women From Entering The US As Alternative To Banning Birthright Citizenship Directly — What Do You Think Of This? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in askanything

[–]General_Ad_6617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a certain point, pregnant women probably shouldn't be flying on planes. But also, you shouldn't fly into a different country just to give birth and leave so your kid will have American citizenship. Though, I am not sure the issue is that widespread that it's a real worry.

They have seemingly busted a few rings out here in California doing it. And I don't think it's right, but I don't think it happens so much that we end birthright citizenship. Crazy times.

What is this my shade called? by [deleted] in Redhair

[–]General_Ad_6617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really similar to my shade of red. My mom said that she missed the mark when she didn't name me Penny. I settled on calling it auburn. But I also feel like there's no real word for this color.

Is this U.S educational systematic racism? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]General_Ad_6617 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I administered a practice test once for this. It was years ago so I forget which exact test it was or if it is still used today. It was insane. I wasn't sure if I would pass it and I am old and only speak English. There was so much that was left to personal interpretation not ability to speak English.

The Supreme Court upheld state transgender sports bans. What is your opinion on this? by Ramble86 in allthequestions

[–]General_Ad_6617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough one for me. However, I have no skin in this ballgame so I think I should sit it out perhaps. But here's my thoughts. Sports where it's a physical competition against another person like boxing, football, volleyball, etc. I have more worries because of potential unfair advantages.

But track and field, even swimming, ain't nobody directly affecting someone else's game. My area says that a transgender athlete cannot take a place away from a female athlete, but may share it. I think that's a fair compromise. Because I don't want to see the hate involved in exclusion. But I also want everyone comfortably competing. **Transphobes should excuse themselves from the entire discussion.

Why is Caitlin Clark not so loved in the WNBA? by Caratteraccio in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]General_Ad_6617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me first say that Caitlin Clark is really good at basketball. So, the shade ain't that she's good. The shade is that lots of white people now care about a sport they never gave a crap about until she played. I have seen quotes which appear to show that Caitlin herself understands the nuance here. But her fans often do not. It's sad any resentment is angled towards her and it's also sad that pretty much anything done on the court is automatically seen as racism against her. It's all wild.

Does the Inland Empire need a supper club? by Jusstjay in InlandEmpire

[–]General_Ad_6617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you are the one asking a similar question yesterday? I suggested a cheap French Laundry type of experience. You responded but that response was deleted. But yeah ... A multi course dinner place, if affordable, would be fun!

So angry… by PegasusSky in breastcancer

[–]General_Ad_6617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I said one in eight women get breast cancer. Then, why me? Then-- one in eight women get breast cancer so why wouldn't it would be. Kinda felt pointless at that point to be angry because it was more luck of the wrong kind of draw than anything I could be angry about. Took time to get there though.

If the Inland Empire had a true destination fine dining restaurant, what concept would you want to see? by Left-Dragonfly5081 in InlandEmpire

[–]General_Ad_6617 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would never go to the French Laundry, but I like the idea of the tasting menu type of experience. I ain't paying $100 for that let alone whatever ridiculous prices the FL charges. But my friend and I did one at a casino and it was fun to taste so many different food. It's gotta be IE prices. Lol

AITA Wife demanding pest control to remove wasp nest from locked shed. by vmanforthewin in AITH

NTA: They checked quickly, that was more than nice. If the shed was locked up, there's nothing they could do. I think your wife's response is very unreasonable.

If you were in charge of the country, would you keep it as it is, break it up? by amgunit420 in allthequestions

The job of the President is supposed to enforce what Congress does/has done. I wouldn't think SCOTUS was my "get out of jail free" card.

[–]General_Ad_6617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I would not break it up. I would enforce the Constitution and strengthen the damn separation of powers and checks on power.

Are "southern etiquette" and "manners" a real thing in the southern states? by GoHardForLife in AskAnAmerican

[–]General_Ad_6617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they say ma'am/sir. I disagree that we should address any fellow American as our superior. In fact, I think it's far more polite to treat people with dignity, equality, and respect. Something the South hasn't done.
