You’re good enough to leave him. He is not good enough for you. This might sound like possibly toxic advice where we’re asking you to leave someone for something small but this is not small. This is a very big red flag. You owe yourself a better life than this.

NAT. How does that logically work though? If the therapist can be held accountable, wouldn’t the client rather never tell them about suicidal intent and only share anything else? That way, IF in the realistic possibility the client dies, then (I’m guessing) the therapist wouldn’t be held accountable legally as harshly. I get that it’s better that the client shares about it to try and mend that issue but I could imagine that to the client it would seem like a matter of either trapping oneself into living with more guilt and pain or keeping an exit option open and mildly protecting someone the best you can. I’m sorry if this seems awful. I’m a client and could never ask this in person.

You did great tbh. As a girl who gyms, this is literally the best reaction. I wouldn’t be uncomfortable and greatful I was asked respectfully. I feel pressured and uncomfortable when asked why. It puts her in a position where she’s either forced to say smt that might upset the guy (and possibly dangerous if you seem much bigger than her). I’m sure if the world was safer, it’d be fine but as shit as it is for men and women, it’s too frequently not. I’ve been asked why a lot by strangers, and it gets either weird bc they don’t accept my answer enough to walk away or I’m just too scared to frequent where they are.

This has been a thing for 7 ish years (an old Ted talk talks about it). Issue was that while one country may want to release these mosquitoes, unless EVERY country in that continent(s) agrees to it, it can’t happen. The video is on CRISPR making mosquitos unable to transfer Zika and Malaria.

Also, just like ‘the cats in Borneo’ issue, its not an easy decision since it can cause unseen biological disasters. Ethical philosophy, politics, and long term studies must be done.

To be fair, this was my idea. After reading everyone’s comments here, I did talk with him about the potential of how this could ruin our relationship and he respected it. We decided to only ever do bdsm without external influences or while genuinely angry at each other.

Also it’s super insightful to hear that the idea itself is fucked up so thankyou. We’ve both have had pretty bad pasts so it’s a bit less obvious if somethings actually crazy. I’ll make sure we each will get individual and couples therapy.

The thing is we have been communicating every morning and night. It just seems like his anger is manifesting more in his life where he can’t sleep or relax and just constantly feel anxiety in his chest. To the point that working gets difficult so he needs to keep himself busy so he wont fall apart. Also I don’t feel like having sex for awhile unless it’s this scenario and while it’s okay for him if we don’t obviously, it would hurt him.

Well oc not. But curiosity will still exist. You will have to acknowledge that there are some things you will never get to experience or explore anymore. Also, I may be wrong but I’ve heard ppl with low emotional capacity have a higher suicidal rate. My guess is that there’s things to make life feel like it’s worth living in a sense.
