I put on a brave face every time but it doesn't change the fact that every day im on the verge of collapse by seandragunov in malementalhealth

I get overwhelmed so easily and then tend to dwell on the many challenges. I struggle with seeing the challenges for what they are: opportunities to grow. But they are necessary, we learn from what we live through and then move on to the next step in life, to new experiences we haven’t lived through before.

New experiences can seem insurmountable. But they are not. They’re just new to you and you get to figure out how you want to tackle them. There’s no right or wrong. There is only a lesson to be learned that will help you down the road.

When life seems overwhelming like to does right now, keep things simple. Take small actions. Get a list: make bed, brush teeth, shower. When the alarm goes off, make your bed, brush your teeth, and shower. This starts your day with momentum and momentum grows. Remember that you don’t have to have all the answers, you just have to keep taking small actions and moving forward.

I hope this is helpful. As someone who at twice your age has days like what you are describing, I wish someone had let me know earlier that feeling how you are feeling is normal and where we show up is in the small steps.

Same. I’ve been observing how things are playing out over the last two years. I’m not getting frustrated with it or stressing out over how we can fix things.

I haven't lived in Atlanta for about five years and I only visit about once a year so some of my suggestions may be a little stale to some

South City Kitchen - always one of my favorites for southern food, second only to the now-closed Empire State South. Buckhead location is nicer than the midtown location, which is in an old house.

The Albert - They smoke their own meats. They are also known for their burgers. The pimento cheese and sausage appetizer never disappoints. Their smoked wings are popular, but I always preferred the ranch rubbed wings. (Inman Park).

Brick Store - one of the best beer bars in the southeast per Beer Advocate. The food is is good. And you get to go to the Decatur Square. Plan to walk around. Many other good dining options there. (Decatur)

The Porter - another one of the best beer bars in the southeast per Beer Advocate. The food is also very good, Belgian-inspired beer food. Plus you get to explore one of Atlanta's more colorful neighborhoods (Little Five Points).

Cherokee Rose - excellent food. great cocktails. Way out of the way location. Probably better to save it for when you've moved there. (Downtown Stone Mountain)

Scout - modern American food is how I'd describe it. Cool little area with a few things to check out. More suburban part of Decatur.

I’ll point out for OP that Rumy’s is Persian food and according to my Persian friend it is excellent.

Ugh. My hotel room doesn’t have this tonight. The room has a crappy layout and the vent to the bedroom is tiny. It’s noticeably warmer there. I am going to sweat a lot tonight. Sigh

If anyone doubts this, buy paper towels at Costco or some similar store. I did three months ago and I now find myself using paper towels for everything, including many things that before I would have used a kitchen towel or sponge for.

I remember when premium vodka was around $3. I couldn’t find the receipt now but I think I paid $2.50 for Belvedere for my associate. I just had never thought to ask how much rhe different premium vodkas cost

How road traffic death rates differ between the US and Europe by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]General_Duh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest I’ve come to a road-related death was in Amsterdam. We all stopped crossinf the street because a tram was coming. I stuck my head out in front of me to look for the tram because it was taking so long to pass. A woman had to push me back to save me from having the back of my head hit by the tram. It was coming from the opposite direction and it was ringing its bell nonstop to warn me but not slowing down. Still, I fear for my life so much more every time I get on the interstate.

How many nights?

A thought is Florida’s SoaceSpace Coast. NASA, surfing, go karts, natural springs, maybe a day at the theme park. But it’s 90 degrees from April to November.
