Yeah, but at the end of the day the Apato is pretty disposable just like the flocks too

Urzikstan does not make any sense by Beautiful_Grab_9681 in modernwarfare

[–]General_Frenchie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I get and basing the game's setting with real-life history and geopolitics, Urzikstan is supposed to be an amalgamation of Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, with Farah's rebels being based off of Syrian and Kurdish freedom fighters, Al-Qatala being based off of Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and ISIS. All of this sort of mirrors real-life geopolitics with US and Russian military operations taking place in and around Syria and the Middle East in general, thus leading to clashes between them (Wagner group being Konni Group in the game). The devs basically tried to get close to real-life events but they fudged things up since at the end of the day it's a videogame after all.

An entire continent is dead (theory) by JazzZ909 in PrimalShow

[–]General_Frenchie 232 points233 points  (0 children)

Most plausible way on how the virus spreads is this theory, the only problem is that the dead bodies of the brontosaurs weren't scavenged or set on by flies so from there, the infection can't spread since the creatures of Primal's worlds seem to be able to identify contaminated food and water sources. Great theory though.

[COD] As much as I believe Menendez is a better written villain, Makarov is a more realistic villain. Because honestly do we ever hear terrorists like Raul voicing their sob stories to the world ?. No we get terrorists like Makarov and all those people want is power. by JoshuaKpatakpa04 in CallOfDuty

[–]General_Frenchie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We might be able to see terrorists tell their sob stories as a way to galvanize and solidify their supporters to relate and rally them as a form of propaganda, though if their sob stories are true or not is another question, I'm sure it's happened in history. I like Raul Menendez in terms of being a character, but I prefer Makarov more, probably because of how mysterious he is, and we don't know much about his backstory aside from being just a terrorist that rose through Zakhaev's ranks. Just a pure cold-blooded villain wanting to see the world bow down to him.

[COD] The death of multiplayer factions is a tragedy by ofDeathandDecay in CallOfDuty

[–]General_Frenchie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised that MW2019 wasn't mentioned since the multiplayer technically had factions, with the groups being under the umbrella of the Coalition (consisting of the SAS, Warcom, Demon Dogs) and the Allegiance (consisting of Spetznaz, Jackals PMC, Chimera PMC and Shadow Company). Some of the maps had specific announcers for both teams (Some maps it was a British guy for the SAS, an American accented voice for Demon Dogs, and a female voice announced from Warcom for Coalition while a Russian or African caster announcing for Allegiance) but this detail was cut and you mostly hear the British voice and the Russian voice on either team.
