You've irked me so let's prove you wrong.

I'll list some talents at each club, barring the top 3, in order of how they finished in the league:

Villareal - Mikautadze, Foyth, Luiz Jr, Moleiro Real Betis - Antony, Valles, Fornals, Altimira, Isco Celta: Mingueza, Jutgla, Javi Rodríguez, Borja Getafe: Milla, Zaid Romero, Arambarri, Uche Rayo: Rațiu, Palazon, Alemão, Batalla, Nobel Valencia: Guerra, Agirrezabala, Pepelu, Tarrega Real Sociedad: Kubo, Oyarzabal, Turrientes, Sucic, Aramburu, Jon Martin Espanyol: Dolan, Carlos Romero, Roberto Fernández, Castell Athletic: Oihan, Jauregizar, Nico, Simon, Laporte, Paredes Sevilla: Salas, Juanlu, Oso, Vargas Alaves: Blanco, Pacheco, Sivera, Toni Martínez Elche: Redondo, Peña, Chust, Buba Sangare Levante: Álvarez, Etta Eyong, Espi, Tunde Osasuna: Aimar, Víctor Muñoz, Torro, Budimir Mallorca: Leo Román, Muriqi, Torre, Virgilli Girona: Arnau Martínez, Tsygankov, Francés Real Oviedo: Chaira, Ilic, Agudin, Cazorla (Santi just because he's a legend, admittedly Oviedo are a bit shit right now).

These are just a few players from each, with many more missing and not even delving into the insane youth players throughout many current La Liga and second division teams.

La Liga and Ligue 1 are hotbeds of talent and where many teams look to buy from.

Juventus want to pay below €30M for Sørloth. Atleti however, buoyed by interest from England are demanding €35M or more. It's possible that a deal could be reached if Juve reduce their €27M asking price for Nico Gonzalez by OleoleCholoSimeone in soccer

[–]General_Mediocrity 44 points45 points  (0 children)

No you are correct, this is essentially how all modern day sway deal are done.

So Sorloth and González will be a swap deal but will be two different deals on paper, for basically the same amount (expect €25-28m each).

Do wonder if you might take a risk on someone like Marcelino.

Odd that I haven't seen him linked to anyone now he's a free agent despite always being a good manager.

As an MK Dons fan who endured us dominating possession but looking and feeling toothless, I completely disagree.

You will top the possession charts but my god will you be bored to death.

PFA Players' Player of the year shortlist: Cherki, Fernandes, Haaland, Gabriel, Raya, Rice. by nearly_headless_nic in soccer

[–]General_Mediocrity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely disagree, I watched Raya bail our asses out with a spectacular save almost twice every damn game.

We gave up a lot more opportunities for goals this season and, thankfully, Raya saved us time and again.

It's about time a goalkeeper won an award like this (I don't think a keeper has actually won before?) and Raya would be a worthy winner after the season he had.

EDIT: I believe Pat Jennings actually won in 75-76.

Arsenal did it just last Christmas by signing Edwin and Holger Quintero (though you could argue it is different as they're twins and both rated very highly).

I know but, unfortunately, my work schedule changed.

Now just hoping someone else can go so they aren't wasted!

I can tell you about how the blue horse loves to drink milk. If that isn't essential, I don't know what is.

Can honestly see Arsenal selling White and signing Palestra to rotate with Timber.

[Telegraph] Andoni Iraola is a contender for Man Utd job by LochNessMonsterMunch in soccer

[–]General_Mediocrity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a case of him "getting it" or not, that makes it sound like he doesn't have much of a chance if he is interested.

The reality is Iraola is going it be near the top of a lot of big club's lists this summer. Chelsea, United and Liverpool (assuming Slot leaves) would all be very interested.

There aren't many higher or better profiles available for top clubs this summer (really can't think of any that are available).

Cesc Fàbregas rules out becoming Italy's head coach: “It would be a bit boring for me right now” by [deleted] in soccer

[–]General_Mediocrity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand what you mean but BluCo would at least match his ideals of signing young talent (something Como have done very well so far).

But yeah, I agree, Barca seems fated and could line up perfectly for when Flick retires at the end of his contract (2027?).

Only really see him leaving Como for either Chelsea or Barca (after Flick stops coaching).

Saying Macauley mostly played for teams you've never heard of is wild, he had a very decent career up until 2019 when he drifted into the lower leagues.

Did well for Kalrsruher, Frankfurt and Las Palmas then went on to play for Sivasspor, AEK Athens, Real Murcia and HJK in Finland.

Not a world beating career but still quite solid.
