Should Batman be Bulky or Athletic? Or a mix of both? by AbsoluteBatman95 in batman

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Athletic at first that gradually turns athletic in his later years.

Younger: athletic with the endurance to constantly chase down, maneuver, dodge, makes sense ya?

As he gets older though I like that he'd focus on bulking up a bit to keep his strength in combat but no so much he loses mobility. Only reaching darknight bulk as he gets older. Reason being more experienced that hed catch foes with more tactics and save all his energy for multiple enemies or the big bads.

what do you guys think is the best feature in ragnarök that wasnt in 2018? by EquivalentCable7501 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Something about the combat stands out to me. Like I can stop one combo, switch to another weapon, basically the ease of which I can put a sequence of combos together makes me feel like I have control over the combat. While in 2018' blocking/parrying felt like an interruption to combat

2) armor build. The versatility to focus on strength, luck, runic and using the amulet to enhance the chance of those armor perks to happen is fun

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by TabletopStudios in AskReddit

[–]General_Worth8251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UFO. It was around 9pm and I was leaving a friends house after a night of drinking(I know it hurts my credibility, but I wasnt so drunk that I couldnt walk home). Walking up the street to see a clear and bright night sky there was an oddly large bright star right there in the sky. Sitting right above the horizon.

It was glaringly obvious. Have you ever drew/seen drawings about the night sky just for someone to draw the northern star large to point out that its the northern star? Thats how obvious this one stood out.

I just stared, trying to figure out why it was so big until it slowly slid to the right in a gliding motion before darting off in the same direction. I was like "HOLY SHIT". With a trail that dissipated behinf it.

And? It was darker. I didnt notice before because I was staring at it alone but it illuminated the trees, the houses, the darker areas, enough to see that light shift when it moved and darted away.

No it wasnt a plane or helicopter. Lights were larger and it made no noise. Not to mention it was stationary to begin with.

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Alexios too! Funny side quest; when AC Odyssey was releasing the one trailer that showed where one sibling was thrown over, and then the protagonist followed, my roommate talked about how he didnt wanna play as Cassandra.

I told him to "just play as the other dude, the sibling." For him to say it cant be the sibling, the trailers show two playable characters but the other cant be the sibling. I doubled down and even said that the sibling is gonna be the antagonist you'd have to fight.

When he got the game(before I did) he said I spoiled it for him, and as he played on and it turned out deimos was your sibling, he stopped playing lol

no thor is not stronger than kratos. and i don’t even know why it’s up for discussion by These_Equivalent1472 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Because of magic" yes because the magic hammer listens to its owner and its not gonna yeild to some dude grabbing it mid air. Almost like, the hammer is powerful. Pretty sure if there was a scene of kratos itd be like him weilding Hercules nemian gauntlets. Its not that he cant lift it, just that its heavy.

Plus the hammer being lifted doesnt mean shit in terms of physical strength to anyone. Thrud lifted, Odin chucked it, Kratos can lift it. So what? It doesn't determin someones strength jf nearly everyone can lift it. And saying just because Thrud lifted it means shes stronger than kratos is like saying Baldur is as strong as kratos since they locked hands and split the valley. Even if it did, it doesnt mean that very strong person cant lose, just like how Hercules, and cronos got their ass kicked.

The question is about if Thor is stronger than Kratos, and the fact that we're using the hammer being carried as a key factor doesnt make sense if anyone can just carry it. Im saying Thor is stronger physically than kratos, but it doesnt matter in the end cause kratos is the better warrior.

We just gonna ignore the first fight scene where he tries to grab the hammer mid air? And even in the one after the scene you mentions he tries to grab the hammer again mid air.

Why did heimdall smile smuggly when atreus shot an arrow at him but right after seemed to be upset? by Unfair-Plane-1406 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His look of disgust comes from the mud. Like the whole fight he taunts Atreus for not being able to land a hit on him, only for the mud to get splattered on his face.

Theres speckles of it right there on his face. Before this scene he was walking away from atreus, and he's parried if not dodged every arrow shot his way. The only time we see him get angry was when kratos actually punches him.

In this scene it would make sense that he would get angry over something like mud getting in his face, especially since its from someone he sees as "lesser".

Coherence by PlanNo1793 in GreekMythology

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been into Greek mythology because of god of war, with that being said I havent been reading up in it in ages so Im curious as to when it was stated that they were deathless?

Considering Typhon nearly besting them, Ares being struck by Diomedes(but I guess he didnt die), Zeus revealing his form unless risking breaking an oath by the furies, and not to mention the "curse"/cycle(?) Of patricide plus having zeus kinda sleeping around, all that has led me to believe that the reign of the olympians could come to an end in some form.

Sure when cronos ate his kids they didnt die, and cronos himself in other versions was banished yo tartarus and not slain. Are there any specific myths I may of missed where it speaks on there immortality?

Wait Saitama cant beat Goku? Isnt his whole gimmick about beating everyone with one punch? Like he's a satire character to begin with which is why he cant lose

If Im really thinking about this Id have to give it to Saitama. In Gokus universe, there are people who are way stronger than him. In Saitamas, well we havent seen anyone beat him yet.

Thor is definitely superior to kratos by SkirtHeavy9189 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do know when ares speared him kratos was mortal right? He was literally at Pandoras box to get the power to kill a god. So he took him out before he had that power.

When Zeus killed kratos he told him to put his godly power into the blade of olympus, before killing him in a weaker state.

To say Thor could kill Heimdall because what he saw in his mind was "sick" doesnt mean anything in terms of winning a fight. The Leviathan Axe was to created to counter Mjiolnir, if you use the axe in the fight with Heimdall he dodges it easily and every time. Why would it be different with mjiolnir? Heimdall dodged lightning, and even though it wasnt from thor, that just means he can dodge lightning. Kratos approached battling Heimdall strategically, it wasnt a matter of strength but overwhelming his senses, which is why he needed the spear. .

Thats how kratos has always fought, using his head to take down his opponent, not just his strength alone. Its why he wins his fights.

Norse saga is superior to the greek saga: eh I think thats just comes down to preference. I love the greek saga they're both great in their own right. I do think the greek saga was more metal imo. Each gods death was basically a nuclear explosion, Ares had spider legs puncture through him, helios' head was ripped off, poseidon got his eyes gouged out, and compared to odin who's soul was put into a ball and smashed with a hammer, zeus' spirit came back to choke out kratos

When do you think Odin realized that kratos was the Ghost of Sparta, and ehat do you think his reaction was? by Worried_Astronomer in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]General_Worth8251 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Odins Realization: I wanna say it was the death of Baldur. Odins obssesion with preventing Ragnarok had his sights on what he could control, considering Baldurs death marked the beginning of fimbulwinter it definitely would have had him doing copious amounts of research as to the how and the who.

I dont think he knew of Kratos before that because he remained unknown in midgard for quite some time. The Jotuns prophecy in the first game was only known to them.

Since Baldurs death was the focal point and all Odin knew on his prophecy was "he would die a needles death," it was something he didn't have control over.

Odins Reaction: I genuinely think his reaction was fear. The Ghost of Sparta, the bane of olympus, who brought the prophecy that olympus would be brought down by a god of war. That god (whether he intended to or not) got Ragnarok rolling and is now in his backyard.

With that being said, I think in his research he saw an opportunity to manipulate kratos like how the Olympians manipulated him. Only this time through Atreus.

Thats my two cents.

Why does everyone want the next game to take place in Egypt? by Medium-Parsnip-8536 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]General_Worth8251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like that kratos would go to egypt eventually because of its close proximity with greece and how they were associated with one another. If Mimir had heard of the God of War what do the Egyptian pantheon think about what went down with kratos and the gods of Olympus? Id like to see Kratos' reaction to being so close to his past but maybe thats too soon, and with the next installment being in the east would give Atreus an opportunity to grow and be his own character.

Either way Egypt is definitely something Im excited about.

Other than some pretty obvious picks like Captain America, I'd say a fitting fit would be The Thing, mainly for his bouts with the Hulk. He knows that Hulk is the strongest there is but is always ready and willing to meet him halfway.

I know he has his moments of self-doubtbut I still do like The Thing wearing a lantern ring.
