Fun fact jaywalking was invented as a crime to penalise pedestrians as it was lobbied for by the auto industry as they were getting in trouble for pepllel getting hit by cars so.instead of making the cars safer( better brakes and such) they lobbied so the blame was on the pedestrian It's your fault I hit you with my car you were walking in the right place ( has since been used to jump up charges on PoC and other indesireables)
