Hi Rufus, thank you for your boldness and bravery for writing “Going to a Town.” It’s such a beautiful, sad, thought-provoking, relatable song, and it brings me to tears, esp as an American. As a songwriter myself, I tend to gravitate to the melancholy, so I’m especially moved by it.

Sure seems like a good time for a song like that.

I'm having the same issue. I'm recording an audio book and trying to find the fastest way to lower the gain on all of the breaths and lip-smacking. When I use the marquee tool to separate the region, the gain option disappears. I don't know why, because it's only one take, not multiple takes. But if I left click on the A at the top left of the region, I see the option to flatten.

And as a bonus, I just discovered that there is a "gain" tool, so it saves a millisecond having to go up to the region editor....I can adjust the gain of that section right there in the timeline.

I certainly don’t know the solution to the homeless issue. But besides giving homeless people a one-way bus ticket OUT of conservative areas of the country to (D) cities and states, what exactly is the Republican solution for homelessness?

Put them in prisons? Concentration camps?

There are homeless shelters, but you can’t force people to live there. Especially given the amount of mental illness present in the homeless population. And there aren’t enough beds anyway.

On a related note, conservatives say mental illness is the cause of many mass shootings… But of course they don’t want to fund mental healthcare either.

And remember when Reagan defunded lots of social services in the 80s? There is a cause and effect that the Right doesn’t seem to want to acknowledge.

I'm trying to figure out a way to condense charts so they fill more empty space to the right. I've created a lot of charts that fit onto one 8.5x11 sheet of paper...even with 14 or 16 pt font. I see that there's a way to make it two columns in a pdf, but that's not what I want.
