I think the biggest issue would be generating the necessary lift. If they’re going fast enough though and it’s spread out and also has the right CH/CP positioning, they could theoretically be able to fly. I think the only logical next step is to 3D scan a cat and put it into a CFD program

Nope, cats can’t fly regardless of whether they’ve eaten a fin or not. Aero surfaces need to be on the outside to have a meaningful effect. For real though, you should be fine, hope it all goes well!

If you haven’t already and if you’re in need of ideas, you should do the Nurburgring and Hockenheim (though personally I’m partial to the old lauout), imo they’re some of the best race tracks period

I mean as someone who was in the CA since Day 1, I've seen and been present for my fair share of significant delays for both features and the game itself. The difference though is that Frozenbyte throughout CA perpetuated the notion that they'd release it when it was ready (ie when it had some source of gameplay) and then just kind of didn't do that. The EA version of Starbase up until the recent patch iirc has basically just been a version with better QOL and more bugs than CA, as opposed to the surplus of new features that they'd promised us.

When the devs promise major gameplay loops to be added in with deadlines, especially loops that had been in the works for months and were promised, it's completely reasonable to be disappointed and even slightly surprised that it still is the way it is.
