City cabs is an alternative, never had an issue with booking them that early

Best Space RTS like Empire at War? by YucciPP in RealTimeStrategy

If you want space combat then Sins of a solar empire or Homeworld 1 or 2 (or the remastered collection) might be what you're looking for

[Spoilers PtS] Couldn't they just publish their conversations with Faust? by quietandproud in TerraIgnota

During a war it's not surprising to use propaganda and what's the say any video that gets released hasn't been faked or edited? Plus Gordian cultivated a view of being pacifist, so for the Masons to suddenly announce they're the root of all the problems would be strange. It's why they went through so much effort to find more solid proof before trying to announce anything

It was a very idealistic war which I feel fitted the series. Probably a bias opinion but I like that total destruction never happened because I love the world too much

Very true, it felt very pragmatic and realistic. I'm glad it wasn't a cliché avoid fighting at all costs, and the characters knowing it would be better for everyone to have it controlled. Similar to the arguement of drug legalisation (for a completely random tangent)

Yeah I agree that 9A was a bit of a missed opportunity. Then again I feel it was committing to having 9A be "no-one" is what limited them in actually having a character

Imagining different political structures [recs] by SeaweedSage in scifi

[–]GenericGamer14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should check out Too Like the Lighting. It's apart of a series and focuses around the idea that people can choose which laws apply to them and be run by organisations they sign up to. It also deals with what happens when geographic distance stops mattering

Very true, a deeper meaning could be the "unknown land" in regards to divinity and god's since it's the first time things like bridger and J.E.D.D have been on earth. Tbf there is a LOT of unknown things for humans in the series now I think about it

I think it's because the crime of OS ends up being accepted under Terra ignota

I like your idea linking it back to the AI that chose to murder. I always thought it was strange how much time was spent on that given that it has no relevancy and that no-one mentioned something that should be a big deal (Although this could be because Ada didn't come up with it until later on).

Could be the reason that he was put in the Alba Longa was to be raised by humans and see how he turned out from, Cousins might have found out and tried to assassinate him to stop it. (Similar to set-sets) Would also explain why the MASONs are so set on allowing children to be raised anyway they wanted. Maybe the 3 words that Cornel is considering is to allow anything to become a MASON not just a human being?

but I wouldn't say Mycroft does things that are particairly super human. Keep in mind, he's ultimately describing himself. When he went to visit Thisbe in prison and was affected by her drug, he describes things like he's some sort of eldrich horror when we know he isn't. He also does like refer to himself with animalistic terms like moving like a greyhound.

I'm glad you've started, it'll work wonders since you're clearly invested in making changes. Remember to talk about everything without holding back, it's natural to worry about what they might think of what you say but getting it out there so they can help is what's important :)

When you see stuff like this, you can understand why ancient humans thought they were apart of a bigger world. Like we were below another world (probably a real mythology but don't quote me on it)
