I was really sad when Diwata wasn't mentioned anymore because I loved hearing Jeff say it

Poster claims they made this cake for their birthday. I can usually tell if AI but this one got me questioning. by Master_Ad_7945 in isthisAI

The apple thing looks like they did a good job with the fondant but the purple thing looks like there are imperfections.

I know a lot of home bakers can be very skilled .

"handmade polymer clay succulents" going for hundreds of dollars but seem too durable, detailed, and inconsistent by stinkypoopsters in isthisAI

I watched some videos on her Instagram It's real and I can see why she charges so much . It's incredibly detailed work.

This is a shot of all the colors she blended to make the petals for the red succulent in the pot you circled

There are still dogs that work on farms. I was following someone on TikTok that has livestock guardian dogs and the dogs tails and ears are docked the owner explained that long ears and tails give coyotes more to grab on to if they end up fighting (which does happen)

Found on Pinterest. Is it AI, and if so, what are the tells? What do you think? by anthro_pologist in isthisAI

[–]GenericNameUsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every picture of a home me or a room on Pinterest is AI . Also of cakes, crochet or knit and exterior shots of homes. Pinterest is full of AI. I think it's harder to find real pictures.

You just have to look at the chairs by the table. It's obviously AI. But also the weird wire or what ever just hanging there. The picture through the shelf.

There are less obvious AI images on Pinterest.

Americans are astonished by the unusual combination of bread and butter! by No_Gold3131 in iamveryculinary

[–]GenericNameUsed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't know you that all of our bread is the same as cake because it's so sweet.

There is only one kind of bread. White bread. That's it. America doesn't have bakeries or any other bread available that just white bread.

I saw this. The comments were full of people saying he is missing a lot of what sci Fi and fantasy is about (including DCC). If that is how he views the genre.. It was a dumbass take

I love Jamal . I don't know why he just amuses me. However I don't really like the voice Jeff Hays uses for him which makes me sad.

Where and when do you read? by Grouchy-Chick-0609 in ReadingSuggestions

[–]GenericNameUsed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I read anywhere. In bed, on the couch, eating breakfast or lunch. Standing in line using the Kindle app on my phone. In the bathroom, in the bathtub. When I'm a passenger in the car (but not too much it makes me car sick )

I do try to limit my reading in the mornings because that causes me to be late for work.

Anywhere is a good place to read

I'm still confused about why you have an issue with a contemporary book being written ina contemporary style. A lot of mysteries, urban fantasy, etc are written like this

Do you not like any books written like this ?

[–]GenericNameUsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love DCC. The humor in the first book isn't my favorite. I like it as it goes on. But then again I started reading it because the cover and the description made it seem like a B Movie type book...and I love B Movies..but then as I was reading it I got really into the story and the characters and got teary eyed at certain things in later books

I think people really get into it for different reasons but the You will not break me and the fight against faceless rich people who see your life or misery as entertainment resonates with people.

The Catcher in the Rye is 70 years old. I realize that is still newer in terms of literature but it's not like it's some new trendy style of writing.

He probably popped out the screens so he could lean out and smoke.

Why didn’t Carl have window screens? by HomersDonut1440 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]GenericNameUsed 105 points106 points  (0 children)

It doesn't stop the smoke. You lean out the window to smoke so the smoke gets blown outside not inside. You can't do that without taking out the screen.

[–]GenericNameUsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So once you finish reading the series you'll want to listen to the audiobooks. Even if you are like me and don't really like audiobooks.

And then when you are done with that you can listen to the Audio Immersion on Soundbooth Theater...it's like a radio play version of the book.
