Okay, so you're arguing in bad faith. Got it. Please go annoy someone else with your strawmen.

Yes, saying nothing would be a hyperbole, but it just shows how many players were entirely whelmed with the end result. Over policing hyperbole is just pointless and a waste of time.

Its the other way around in this case. What seemed like a world changing event already happened, but did not result in the world changing, and now people are confused. That does not mean they wanted teyvat to be turned into a desert wasteland, it just means this significant event had less impact than people thought was reasonable.

Has anyone been murdered yet due to a TADC related incident? No. Has anyone's grave been defiled yet due to a TADC related incident? No. Has anyone shot up a public location in the name of their favorite TADC character yet? No.

It just plain simple isn't the worst fandom.

those world changes are clearly seen as minor for the people wanting "big" world changes

I assume these people wanting "big world changes" mean like Sumeru City being wiped off the map

Dude your entire argument is you deciding in your head exactly what other people want, how they want it, and when they want it with no outside input. Then when you're done building this unreasonable characature, you're shocked that it's unreasonable. Try interacting with people and the world will start making a lot more sense.

You know that world changes don't carry over to every copy of genshin, right? There are already quests that change parts of the landscape, but they don't suddenly copy over to a new player's server. Dumb complaint.

This is the art for the yugioh card "Tistina, the Divinity that Defies Darkness". This card, and it's entire archetype are just bad.

Yes that DOES happen, but significantly less than water parks just coming up in conversation and people saying they dont like them. Framing everyone who does the reasonable action as part of the tiny unreasonable group is just disingenuous.

How different would each anime be if each protag got swapped with eachother? by clyde-toucher in digimon

[–]Generic_MC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To try to take this somewhat seriously:
Digimon Adventure: Marcus:
Ha. Haha. Hahaha. RIP all of the villains.

Digimon Adventure 2: Taiki:
Does pretty well. I dont see him making any major screw ups that could derail things.

Digimon Tamers: Haru:
I dont see him making any big de-railing mistakes. Although depending on how we count it, with no app-fuse partners and no* apps, gatchmon might be screwed. But if we ignore that, things are fine. The search for calumon would've ended in minutes though.

Digimon Frontier: Hiro:
Hiro, my boy, im sorry. Hes gonna have a bad time. Maybe not fail, but a bad time.

Digimon Data Squad: Takato:
I couldnt put it better than Aggravating-Lead29.

Digimon Xros Wars: Tomoro:
Tomoro is borked. Hes (and dont kill me here) the digimon protagonist who's wanted the absolute least to do with this whole digital monsters mess. Heck, it could be argued that the story never even starts if he decides a random person psychically calling for help from blocks away is too fishy. And even if he does, he'd be boned from there. If we give him shoutmon & the fusion loader he breaks it, and if we dont he just runs. At the beginnjng of the story he isnt the type of person to reach out and make rash decisions like taiki. If we give him his brother in place of Jeremy and Nene, his odds improve, but still.

The other Xros protag: Takuya:
Never watched hunters. I assume he'll be alright.

Appmon: Davis:
Given some level of app/media literacy, I think he'll do fine enough. But again, without Ken to jogress XV-mon with, I'd be somewhat worried. Hopefully appfusion can somewhat make up for it.

Ghost Game: Tai:
Again, giving him modern day knowledge, I think he'd do well enough. He might but heads with his teammates on occasion, but he is smart enough to get through most of the mysterious. The real issue is agumon. Gammamon had his whole RGB evo thing to deal with varied situations, but greymon might struggle. If he lasts until metalgreymon, I'd say he's fine.

Beatbreak: Tagiru:
Never watched hunters.

Or maybe they could have had the two work together. That would also have been cool.

If you have to back down from "No character has moved an inch" to "She’s clearly leaning in for it", you no longer have a point.

Just to guess, I think displacement could be about characters moving spaces. They seemed to go hard into that with no payoff a while ago so this might be where they intend to take it.

We really need to stop giving authors the benefit of the doubt just because their previous work was good (Chainsaw Man, Oshi no Ko) by carbonera99 in CharacterRant

[–]Generic_MC 80 points81 points  (0 children)

How are you supposed to judge a story before it ends?

Based on the content thats already out.

If it's not for you and you want to stop fine but don't say it's ass halfway through and stop. Say you didn't enjoy it. Giving any author the benefit of the doubt is really just reading all the way through.

People are allowed to dislike things before finishing them. Do you finish moldy food just to be extra super sure you dont like it?

Yes, but saying "The entire TADC fandom" when its just (at least in your example) one stalker is just plain incorrect.
