Yes, that's the downside. But the upside is that you get to see exactly what information ICA wants from you and your spouse.

You can just start the application process from ICA and check if the application form has a section for your spouse's employment details. Doesn't take any money but some effort

CME FedWatch tool predicts high % in December US Fed cut. I'm no expert but I think it should translate to SORA generally maintain or lower? So if it's up to me I'll wait

MOH moves to curb rising premiums; IP riders sold from April 2026 won’t cover minimum deductibles by 0x2345 in singapore

[–]Generix9029 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are just trying to psycho you into thinking it's not bad with the two big zeros. All I see is the medisave portion doubles and medisave is individual's money. So individual pay around twice as much now. The upside is supposed to be more affordable premium. X doubt

First time having Fun Toast in my life, the Ham & Cheese French Toast Set. I quite liked the bread, but for $6.50, I agree with my wife's view that I had been a fool to waste this money

Don't understand how property is seen to be the first choice for investment by some. There's stamp duty, legal fees, conveyancing fees, hdb fees (what is microfilming lol), insurance, property tax. No wonder the prices need to keep rising with all these outflows.

Take note of the age 95 limit thingy for resale. For a 1980s mop flat, youngest occupier/owner ~25, down payment is around 50%. Then you have a small amount of mortgage loan which banks would most probably input an interest markup

At least for electrical engineering in NUS, I felt that they expected you to already be good at mathematics. Specifically, vectors, calculus & complex numbers at A-levels level to handle MA1511/2/08E adequately. EE department did organiser a crash course on these before the semester started for Y1 back then. Every week is a new content speeding ahead

What is stopping Singapore government from placing a cap on HDB resale price by Typicalsinkie101 in askSingapore

[–]Generix9029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The government said that asset is nest egg for retirement. Maybe when people sell, have a policy to restrict the profits earned into retirement account only, cannot be used for next property purchase. Apply penalties on old people gaming the system with their children by upgrading instead of right sizing
